Not feeling the splitter today but still effective after adjusting from a wild start. He gets it done a different way every start. I don't mind him lowering the split usage to minimize arm stress. 7IP today?

It's a quality start and I think they're trying to conserve him for 2H. That is if they can stay near .500 till trout comes back...

Well, not tonight. Even the angels pen should be able to hold a 6 run lead against this lineup.

Gotta think as long as his power is still there and his batting average is the same as his ERA, he’ll win MVP. Its currently like that now as he has a .270 AVG and 2.70 ERA.

Agreed, why take him out at 79 pitches in a 2-0 game after the 6th, especially with his spot in the lineup due to hit 4th the next inning, and it was the bottom half of Detroit’s lineup.

So to recap
- only at 79 pitches
- he’s the best hitter and was due up 4th so they pulled him
- it was the bottom half of Detroit’s lineup

WTF is going on?
