Nice to see a good game with very little whining and flopping

Wanna start collecting Darius Garland. Who was the dude on the forum who was always apparently pumping him? Hats off.

I'm right much more often that I'm wrong with this kind of stuff.

Sometimes, it just takes some patience.

Seriously, I hope the NBA haters watched this game. Great offense, good defense. Lots of paint points and Shai dominated the mid range. Back and forth all game

Hard to say between this and Knicks Spurs on Christmas which was the game of the year

I think the majority of those haters are Celtics fans who can't stand their own team's style of play, so the "whole league" is broken now.

Was a good game with a lot of lead changes. Can’t help but think Holmgren might have given the Thunder an extra boost with his long range shooting bringing out one of the bigs. Hartenstein almost had a triple double. Can’t fault him at all.

Mitchell was also 3-16

If he even plays halfway decent?

Just saying it goes both ways. Always a reason

I think we can agree that this would be a great playoff series if it were to end up happening. Will it? Dunno. A long way to go.

Isaiah Hartenstein has definitely stepped up with Chet out

The difference is Chet is a better scorer but Hartenstein is a better rebounder

So Chet gives the Thunder an edge by a little bit but not as much as you'd think

The crazy thing is that the Thunder can play both Chet and Hartenstein together

The most amazing things about OKC is how great they are despite missing one of Chet/Hartenstein all season and AC losing his shot.

There is nothing remotely similar between Chetneck and IH. One is a paint meanderer with a restricted area push floater is an offensive arsenal.

The other is a shot creating 3 level scorer that can step out to 23 on defense and switch off 1 through 5.

Hats off to Hart. for making the best of the situation, but his career's been best suited as an off the bench energy banger.

Allen was looking like prime Hakim Mantis on OKC's frontcourt.

They better pray to the honorable Elijah Muhammed Amish pterodactyl returns full strength or they may not even make it out the West.

I think you’re underselling Hart quite a bit.

Darius Garland… from Twitter

“Save this for Darius Garland All-Star discussions.

Even with a career low minutes per game and looking at the three basic stats (pts, reb, ast) and three basic shooting %'s (FG%, 3P%, FT%)...

There is ONE player averaging 20+ pts, 6+ ast, 2 reb on 48%+ FG%, 40%+ 3P% and 90% FT%

Taking it a step further, there are only THREE other players in NBA history since 1967-68 to average those numbers:

Steph Curry (4x)
Larry Bird (2x)
Kyrie Irving (1x)”

You're smarter than that J, and we both know this.

Implying Hart is anywhere near the caliber of player is the same as implying Ty $ Jerome is nearly as good as DGar.

There's a reason why OKC was still able to float that #1 seed even when Hart was sidelined and 6'7 JDub was anchoring the 5. Systems and surrounding personnel.

But neither want to be in a situation where one of their top 3 players are sidelined come playoff time.

I wasnÂ’t trying to compare them as players. Chet when healthy is in another universe.

IÂ’d say Hartenstein is an elite role player who is a perfect fit for the Thunder. HeÂ’s a good defensive rebounder, can move his feet well on the defensive end. Can operate as a good enough DHO hub and that 6-8ft floater is a really tough shot to hit consistently.

I love his grit. And they definitely need his rebounding. Now I'm wondering if they'll be rolling him at the 5 and shift Chet to pf. But that muddies things with Jdub and Dort. I'm thinking probably situational spots when they're running big.

Hart's such a massive upgrade over Viet Brunson though. Amazing acquisition by OKC.

They could have used both against Cleveland for sure. I think it will be a situational closing lineup and for when they are getting crushed on the glass. Even though Chet isn't a great rebounder he's just another giant dude out there to grab boards.

Chet's showed glimpses of improvement this year on the glass, but the consistency still won't be there because of his strength. Yeah, I'm thinking a lot of that 2 big LU especially against a team like Cle.
