Can anybody help me understand how this got a 4.5? There was no bucket designated before I submitted and I’m just not seeing anything.

Back being OC is the only obvious thing I see...and obviously that ain't knocking it town 5 points

COMC should get out of the grading game unless they give a refund on grading fees for a card w/o a condition designation that gets a shotty grade like this.

I bought a bunch of cards I want to send in to COMC.

They are all penny sleeved (no toploaders) but they all have a price sticker on the outside of the sleeve ($1, etc.). Will this be an issue or can I just send the cards in with those sleeves? Would take quite some time to change out all the penny sleeves for them all but I will if I have to.

As far as I know, the cards still go into 9-Pocket Trading Card Sleeve Pages for Binders. Then the pictures are taken.

So you should be fine.

If you buy a raw card on COMC and then submit it to a TPG (using the COMC service) and it comes back as altered or not authentic, will COMC issue a refund for the purchase? Will they also refund the grading charges, or are you stuck eating those?

The centering on the front looks just as bad as it is on the back. Questionable if the centering knocks the grade down that far. Normally it takes a hairline crease to knock a grade down to a 5 or lower.

It will be fine. I send in cards in 30 year old sleeves with 30 year old price tags all the time. They will remove the cards from the sleeves and process them. They also will take gaming cards which are in deck protectors with no problem.

They charge extra to remove cards from toploaders.

Might be a surface issue which can't be seen from the scan.

However, it does appear to be off center, almost to the point of being miscut. His elbow is almost outside of the card frame. If you look at the base cards, it appears that there usually is much more of a margin on the right side.

It isn't obvious with this red parallel because the border is the same color as the background.

Yeah, I totally did not look at the centering on the back until it was brought up. The front looks fineish because of it being a red refractor. I am guessing I will just have it sent home at some point as a reminder of a bad choice. Maybe I can see more then. Should have just sold it raw lol.

I get that you're venting to vent. However, this is how it has worked since the beginning and is very useful in most situations.

eBay is OUTSIDE of the COMC store credit infrastructure. To buy on ebay using store credit is the equivalent of doing a COMC cashout and paying with Paypal, then submitting it back to COMC. So instead of doing that, it allows you to immediately put back into your inventory rather than paying $5 for eBay shipping. You just have to be smart about what you're buying on ebay and paying through COMC store credit. The fees may not make sense for very expensive items.

It is getting to the point it is hard to know what is really going on with some many different (this and that) being posted (here and other sites)

When their auctions started, I did win a few and had them sent home with my other cards.

Have never sold on COMC before but have a bunch of $1-$10 cards in boxes that I'd like to sell. Do they run their processing fee sale at the same time of year usually or is it random?

My bad, but I bought over 5,000 cards and I wanted to move cards out of my account. I definitely requested multiple shipments to try to get them coming back to me quicker. I would like to have a shipment from COMC coming about once every two weeks. I can then get them listed and sold on my own and move them on.

usually towards the end of the year I'd say

There is a chance they do a spring cleaning processing special but I see it as unlikely due to the shipping backlog
