Ya be careful. Week 5 of last year when they played, the Bills played the 2 high shell and the chiefs just ran the ball. I can see this being the strategy assuming the bills come out the same way as they did in that matchup. Whatever the Bills did in the title game didn’t work, Chiefs shredded them. I’d expect they make Pat stay patient and Chiefs have to pound the rock.

I also hope the Chiefs D can somehow make the Bills do the same. I will say this is the least confident I’ve felt in the Mahomes era in the Chiefs at arrowhead. Chiefs can’t punt or turn it over. They had Allen’s # not that many games ago with similar personnel, but nothing makes me think they are going to get stops

Probably not telling anyone anything they don't know but... Vegas is very good at what they do. More times than I can count that I've seen nearly everyone saying the Over is a lock and sure enough the Under wins.

I don’t hate the Chiefs, or Patty or really even root against them unless it has a direct impact on the Steelers chances or outlook. But that isn’t what I said.

You took me putting the majority (not even all) of the blame for an INT on Patty and twisted into “an end zone dance over a loss”. That was the point you’re trying to deflect.

I have 39 (now 40) posts in here, yet I’m the guy who pops in just to criticize? Do you even think before you just make up dumb stuff and act like it’s fact? I’m not even sure I’ve said anything negative about Patty here.

In the other thread I was criticizing the play, I even said multiple times that Patty is awesome and better than doing those dumb things.

I mean your post right here is exactly what I initially replied about “He said something bad about Patty. He hates Patty and gets giddy every time they lose. All he does is come here and complain about Patty.” All your doing is deflecting to some obtuse made up narrative.

Worry about yourself first or no one will take your constructive feedback seriously.

ETA: checked my posts, didn’t see anything very critical of Patty, although I did say he was a terrific passer and not the archetype of a true Greek God behind center, so maybe you read it negatively.

Yes, the projections are over-the-top. Cool if he breaks all of those records, but there won't be a QB to ever get to 7 SB wins, and in the end, that is what Mahomes is up against. What the NFL was during Brady's first 14 years - 2000-2014 - (pre-illegal contact rule, not to mention the "can't touch the QB" rules ('08/'09)) is VASTLY different than what Mahomes walked into. Let's also not gloss over the fact that the NFL season is now 17 games, which Mahomes will also benefit from.

Mahomes will be great - but he will never be Brady. Even I've learned to cope with that reality.

I personally don't think the measure is going to be 7 SBs or bust. I think if Mahomes gets to 4 or 5 SBs (yes I realize how ridiculously hard that will be and not saying he's going to get there) and continues down the statistical path he's on now then there will be a clear top 2 of all time and the discussion will be a good one between he and Brady.

I wouldn't want any of them as they are 9s White Sparkle is the best looking, I wish I knew how many Bronze Stars they ACTUALLY made, Red is always cool, but I'm not a fan of the Xfractor design, and Camo isn't visually appealing (to me).

If we want to relate this to the hobby.......

LeBron James is never going to go 6-0 in the NBA Finals. Not going to happen. He'll never be able to touch Jordan in that regard.

LeBron card prices are doing alright.

Personally, I think Mahomes has a shot to the be the LeBron James of football. We shall see.

Ken is pretty good about not having multiples of rare cards in the same auction. I know both the owners and both of them knew there was another copy. So my guess is the owners were fine with it and perhaps it was their decision to do it that way.

I love me some Patty but it's so hard to imagine a player having the longevity of Brady. He is truly rare. One thing I am rooting for and hope will happen for the Mahomes narrative would be a SB rematch and Mahomes coming out on top. That would forever take away the comment that Brady beat him in the Super Bowl. Either way, he doesn't have to do what Brady has done to be one of the one of the best. He is a different kind of special and the fact that he is so likeable will keep him popular for as long as he plays. His career is a ride I'm going to enjoy watching for years to come.
