Bucks get outscored by 25 in the 4th.

Kept waiting for Brad James to start the conversation on the Pacers' impressive Haliburton-less comeback blowout. I mean beyond the ticker tape.

LeBron could have come out of the Pacers' organization and people would yawn about the prospects of his cards. Loving this low-key team.

Really got a headache watching NFL. There was not one close game and the league has lost its friendly human faces. I wouldn't recommend the sport to watch for kids, too violent. Decades past, players wanted to share a beer in a bar during the offseason, not recover from career-threatening injuries, multiple in a game.

Also Donovan's absence underscores his importance to this Cavs' unit. Borderline alpha whu-? Darius and Mobley ain't even close.

Points:
1. Nembhard > Haliburton. But neither will really move the hobby needle.
2. Pacers key players, despite last season, get very little hobby attention.
3. NBA has a way better product than NFL, cause their good players are more likely to be healthy and playing at their peak in playoffs (refs made the needed adjustments 3 weeks ago). Football hasn't been like that for decades.
4. Donovan Mitchell is a player I would look into buying for value on the Cavs.
5. If this pivotal game, for Cavs and Pacers collectors, merits a single Brad James comment, no one is tuning in to the basketball part of the hobby. And that's wrong. I mean I know Herbert tanked today, a lot of investors on life support.

Anyway, looks like Nesmith is coming back for the rematch on Tuesday, on TNT. If Donovan also plays, expect a highly competitive game. East's version of OKC-Rockets.

I'm legit shook by the potential Nomeezy carousing should Indy pull off the gargantuan upset.

Bucks are the Packers/Vikings of the NBA. Beat shyte teams, get blasted by the legit contenders.

0-3 vs. Cavs
0-2 vs. Knicks
0-3 vs. Celtics

No faith this year.

The defense is still what it is. But they're legit scary when everything's firing on all cylinders. Tough to pull in a 5/7 game series though.

There’s few players more fun to watch then Spida when he gets on a tear. Admittedly, he sometimes doesn’t know when to keep the ball moving when he’s cold, but his beast mode is real. Fun game to watch tonight for sure.

Nice to see him break out of his slump for a half.

Went 10-13 in the first half, then 2-10 in the second. But late it was Garland turn to drop 13 points in the 4th.

That's hard to beat when your two bigs Mobley and Allen are scoring so proficiently as well

Throw out the last five minutes, including Math's double tech gimme and tons of three-point misses, we had a game.

I think Pacers beat them easy most nights if Ty and Aaron are healthy in the lineup. In that regards, nothing changed from last year. Would actually like to see a first or second round matchup of this. Four All-Stars or no (vs. possibly one alternate on the Cers) I don't see how any Cavs fan can feel like the team has a clear shot to the finals, given that the Celtics and Knicks are also lurking.

Well they do have the statistically greatest offense ever (as measured in relation to league average)

They have a DPOY candidate in Mobley.

The best record in the NBA with wins against Boston, NY, and OKC.

The 3rd best adjusted net rating behind Boston and OKC.

Nobody is saying they will cakewalk Boston in a series but the Cavs are the best team in the East right now and should be viewed as at least a pick em in a series against Boston and no other team comes close.

So Bulls and Pelicans were a combined 28 for 93 from 3. Most have been riveting to watch.

Since the NBA Merger in 1976, only 3 teams below a top 6 SRS (Simple Rating System) have won a championship
Here's what the real contender picture looks like:
Quote:
The 3 teams who did not finish in the top 6 of SRS for an individual season since 1976 are the 1978 Bullets (7th), 1995 Rockets (11th) and 2011 Mavericks (8th)

The top 6 in SRS this season so far are

Thunder (12.73)

Cavaliers (8.89)

Celtics (8.43)

Grizzlies (6.65)

Rockets (6.21)

Knicks (5.05)

And just to cover all 48 years, here is 7-11

Nuggets (4.81)

Mavericks (3.82)

Timberwolves (2.08)

Clippers (1.97)

Kings (1.62)

Unless there is a shift in the SRS ranking by the end of the year, any other team besides the 11 above would make history
OKC is just on another level

Quote:
The Thunder are on pace for the best SRS of all time. The teams with an SRS above 9.0 that did not win a championship were the 1972 Bucks, 2013 Thunder, 2016 Spurs and Warriors, and 2020 Bucks.
