So, the breast cancer specialist my wife saw today is against removal of the dense tissue like her doctor wanted. They are going to do another mamogram in 6 months and keep monitoring it.

Thank you to the county for passing a $500 property tax rebate for first responders next year (which also caused them to hire another county employee at $75,000) and thank you again for it not being applicable to us (or most of the people in the county) due to the combined gross income limit.

I took my own advice and left the YMCA at 6:30. If their staff can't handle the last 2 practice times then I can't worry about it. Came home and made some shrimp alfredo

Well our garbage pickup is all screwed up. They didn’t come last Thursday and they were supposed to still be picking up regular cans till next Thursday. They instituted only picking up the green can they issued and if any other garbage was put out with it they would pick up nothing. I used to try and make their job easier but it’s on now. I will see how much weight I can get in that one can before I pay their fee of 11 dollars a month for an additional can.

That's pretty crappy. So, if you have more trash than the can, you have to pay extra? I know most people here (and I assume elsewhere) have a lot more trash than can fit in the cans during Christmas and Thanksgiving. Ours, still takes stuff out of the can as long as it is inside a bag.

There are only 3 of us in the house plus the pets so we seldom have need for more than the one can, but since me and my son were doing a cleaning to surprise my wife when she got back from her sisters there were 3 cans this time. Without them picking up for 2 weeks that was nasty pool, my wife called and she also found out that all garbage in the can they issued needs to be in a green bag or they also will not pick that up. Looks like I might load up the back of my truck and unload it in one of those big green dumpsters that most businesses in town have.

Well it is Mississippi I wouldn’t expect them to be any other way. Crime in Jackson can run rampant but we will make these upstanding citizens accountable for every piece of garbage they might have. To get my message across I should put 2 anvils in green garbage bags and then in the issued can, if they refuse pick up that would be going against their own regulations. I shouldn’t get that worked up about this, I have my yearly heart checkup today and I don’t want my blood pressure to spike.
