It will be interesting to watch Ohtani's first playoff series - let's see if he's built like Reggie Jackson, or more like Clayton Kershaw. Does he have another level he can take his game to, or does he lose his edge once everyone is going 100%? We'll know by next week. Exciting times. I'm definitely expecting something better than 1-for-12, which is the post season line of a well-known false "goat".

As for Ohtani cards, the card to watch is Ohtani Pitching #700 PSA 10. It's headed to four figures, maybe sooner rather than later, if playoff success is to be had. Ohtani #700 is set to become the reserve currency of the hobby, we have needed a card like that for a long time. It could become the fourth legendary card of the hobby, the first since 1989.

Let's see your huge stash of 2024 Topps chrome Lindor cards since it's such a close race. I would be happy to make a friendly wager that Ohtani wins MVP (and likely by a very large margin).
