I honestly think that the Mahomies believe that Mahomes can walk on water.

This week for my son's internship, he was at the 991 call center. There were 6 calls while he sat with one of the 911 operators, 4 non-emergency and 2 emergency.

One of the emergency calls was an old man that slipped on the ice and broke his hip, I thought of Hairy.

One of the non emergency was a lady that was sitting at a red light for 20 minutes. She called 911 to tell them.

He was with the SWAT team yesterday and got to tour the vehicle, etc. He's always wanted to be a SWAT officer.

Well who else would you call for a stuck traffic light?

How about just running the light NN? I'm pretty sure there is some law that you can do that after a certain amount of time.

Pennsylvania's Ride on Red law allows for any vehicle (car, bicycle, motorcycle, even a horse and buggy) to proceed with caution at an intersection if the traffic signal is malfunctioning or if it's vehicle-detection system fails to recognize you. In this scenario, the signal should be treated like a stop sign.

I like to help out when I can. It’s not all about me.

Thanks for your thoughts. I just got cleared by my PT for return to normal activities this afternoon.

He can carry a backpack around all day now instead of having to try and get to his locker in between every few classes.

When he was younger, he went to the Gwynn Center in Waldorf for speech and that bus picked him up really early; sometime in the 5:00 hour I believe.
Let me just say I hope this doesn't happen. Does your son have a speech impediment and braces? You know how kids are at your son's age, they are brutal. Changing schools in the middle of a school year is rough.

Stay away from an instant family situation. You don't seem like a guy to smash and dash so good freaking luck.

Trust me, I haven't rushed into this at all. We've known each other for 2+ years.

It would be so great if his first call as a SWAT officer was to the Boo Compound.

It's probably a regular stop for the SWAT team.

Boo Jr. comes home with a picture of the wall map at the Po-Po depicting the Compound, with buildings identified, etc.

He does have braces but no speech impediment. He wasn't speaking at the normal timeframe for a child and was put into speech therapy. He is almost good now but he has issues with a few sounds still and annunciating certain words.

Since it was 75 today, he actually met the Son of the Charles County police officer that lives two door up today and the kids right next door and played with them on their trampoline and some basketball. That was great for him!

I was so mad at my wife this afternoon. We went to the old house after work to get some more stuff. The amount of crap she still has in that house to get out (not counting the furniture we are taking to the dump) is ridiculous! And then to make the argument worse, I accidentally broke her favorite rooster candle warmer that had been in the dining room. The box she put it in literally disintegrated in my hands and it fell and broke.

It is going to take a miracle for us to get this house ready in 5 days. And of course the SIL with the trailer is working tomorrow so we can't take the stuff to the dump. I told my wife that if the house wasn't done over the weekend (which I see no way it will be), that she will be taking leave starting Monday and helping get it ready.
