Your card should be under the authentication program? Does the best offer say if accepted automatic payment would happen?

This. Sell it high and let it fly - you are protected if it's in the AG program.

If anyone does not have automatic payment enabled as a seller, don't know why they might haven't done that. With the AG program plus automatic payment, that removes a lot of buyer shenanigans.

I did NOT have automatic payment set. I had always viewed it as unnecessary. Then I hit "accept offer" and assumed the buyer would wait and see how the game tonight plays out before paying/not paying. Lucked out with a standup buyer. I will now make sure to have automatic payment enabled!

Some buyers hate the required automatic payment thing...but if you're selling high value cards or decent volume, I believe it's a must. Just takes a lot of anxiety and bad buyers out of the equation. If someone buys multiples, I'll refund them excess shipping paid automatically without them asking. Congrats on the sale...you may end up being able to buy back lower in the off-season. Cash is king in the pocket for now.

I did that for several years, but recently changed all my listings to free shipping, just so much easier to deal with.

I'm nervous. Darvish seems to have Shohei's number. I have hope that Ohtani will rise to the occasion though.
