A lot of high end flooding Goldin/Fanatics. Going to be an awkward auction end if the Dodgers don't advance to the WS.

I love it when a bunch of high end piles up from a big event (50/50) but ends at a potentially precarious time (right after WS). The auction submitters will be celebrating or crying.

There isn't enough money even for the big ballers to win all of those cards at market+ in a non-euphoric environment.

I’m trying to figure out a good card to pair with my Ohtani. I’m thinking of the following but wanted to hear some suggestions.

My favorite player of all time’s rookie (1993 SP Derek Jeter)

The AL’s Ohtani (2017 Topps Heritage Aaron Judge SP or auto)

The only other great two way player (Babe Ruth relic card)

Can't go wrong with any of those but the Babe would be the most interesting.

Shohei’s first LCS, let’s go (I hate you, Los Dodgers), but I love our guy!

New completions:

2018-2022 Topps Fire

Topps Chrome 2018-2024

Bowman Chrome 2018-2024

And, I should have another fun completion tomorrow.

Ha!

Yeah, well, it's a staple item like milk, sugar, and eggs. You can't really bake without one .

Weds/Thurs set will feature another AG crackout, .

I have ended up collecting far more 2018's than I expected, lol.

All of this is true. Definitely not the best time for the auction to be ending.

Hype > Results.

I'll try to find a link but someone put together Patrick Mahomes sales the week heading into his last two super bowls, and then sales immediately after. There was a large difference, sometimes 20%, despite Mahomes winning Super Bowl MVP in both.

Times must be rough for Ohtani collectors if they can’t handle $400-500k in one auction.

But with focus, E. Crazy, fierce, focus. I have locked in on the strategy and the binder has helped create the structure.

Here are the sets that are in the book(s) as they say:

Bowman
Bowman Chrome
Bowman Platinum
Bowman's Best
Donruss
Donruss Optic
Finest
Prizm
Select
Stadium Club
Stadium Club Chrome (in progress)
Topps
Topps 35th Anniversary
Topps Allen & Ginter
Topps Allen & Ginter X (in progress)
Topps Archives
Topps Big League
Topps Chrome
Topps Chrome 35th Refractors
Topps Fire
Topps Gallery
Topps Gypsy Queen
Topps Heritage
Topps Heritage Chrome (in progress)
Topps Holiday
Topps Opening Day
Topps Silver Pack (in progress)

Should be at 197 unique cards, all related, with room 2 pages left for another 2 sets, or 1 bigger run.

Okay, okay, if he plays for four more years it would be necessary to add a second book because a lot of the sets would expand to a second page.

I did, for two years, and I have been making hay, but will slow my roll back to collecting the current years releases an adding to the runs.
