Saw this over on the football thread posted by pazerbaijan but after looking at the twitter feed, wanted to share it with the basketball folks.

Those are some nice looking patches, and the cards look sharp if you don't mind the lack of logos.

Its crazy how they copied the design of flawless patches over past years...but as has been said before, these card companies tend to steal designs and ideas all the time.

Beautiful looking product. At least we see the players face and know who is who.

The football version was difficult.

They did a much better job of making up for the lack of logos in this product than they did Leaf Q. It's a shame they couldn't get pictures for some of the players though - having a picture of a Kareem jersey to accompany the Kareem patch is sort of strange (they've done this on other releases as well).

It's extremely weird when the jersey material doesn't match the image of the jersey they use on the card. It's one thing to do it when the player is featured wearing the jersey but when all you have to do is find an image of the jersey it just seems lazy.

Leaf Q had some really nice cards, but the lack of logos and the picture choice ruined some of them. I'm not here to bash Leaf, so I want to also point out that they did a much better job with using headshots for this current release.

These don't look too bad considering the constraints they're working within. They look a lot like Flawless with a bit more of a background.

The borders on the patches looks nice, the font looks nice and regal.

However that background... amateurish at best.

Pretty good effort though. I'd join in some GB's of this.

I think they'd look better without the background. But then they'd basically look like Flawless sans logos and team names.

Did they use acetate on these?! That is a quality product. Looks way better than anything unlicensed UD did. That CP3 1/1 patch is sexy.

I think saying. Jordan used gold bag and having a picture of a jersey looks dumb too. I kinda get when it sjersey and jersey cuz you can link the two. But the gold bag has no correlation with what he jersey.

Well considering they can't print their Team names on there, they have to cover some space I guess.

But yeah very amatuer IMHO.

It's a shame tho that:

- picture of the jersey is not top quality
- picture of the jersey does not always match the patch on the card

I would love a patch version which would be based on the back of the Topps In The Name (card is not mine, but in the great collection of Deadshot)
