Default Horror Flicks

I like 80's horror flicks mostly hence I grabbed these boxes. But I like House of 1000 Corpse especially can't stop watching the intro before you start the video. If you let it sit the clown starts to talk and it is pretty funny in my opinion. I like the Saw series and Evil Dead Series also.

Any obscure horror flicks that scarred you for life?

I remember always walking through the horror section on the way to the kids movies and checking out all the creepy covers. Pretend I knocked over a box so I could get a good look at the reverse. My imagine always ran wild with what they could be about. This one really got to me as a young lad and I still haven't seen it.

Any retro box art that scarred your psyche for years to come?

Now I'm going to have to find all of these movies and rent them. Its been long enough since I have watched them I am sure it'll be like watching them for the first time.

Anyone watch the Netflix Film called RAVENOUS yet? I haven't seen it.

As a zombie plague ravages their rural Quebec town, a scrappy band of survivors join forces to flee the infected hordes in this quiet thriller.

Dead Alive is great. It has one of the all-time greatest lines in a zombie move:

Anyone watch The Cured? It's a movie that takes place after they cure people of a zombie plague.

HULU has a lot of good horror from when I was younger. Right now I’m watching all of the Subspecies again. Also If you guys check the free movies on VUDU there are some awesome 70’s and 80’s obscure films. Finally watched “Q” the Winged Serpent on there!

I don't know if we're counting Annihilation as scary enough for "horror."

But it was amazing.

Imagine if the crew from Alien went on an adventure similar to The Fountain but set inside Jurassic Park with the same mood and atmosphere of Arrival.

Also, the bear monster is probably creepier than anything you will see in another movie this year........and it was only the second scariest (most dreadful) thing in this movie.

I watched Jeepers Creepers 3 last night......SO stupid. Why does the creature drive?
I was most annoyed by the end of the movie....wont spoil it, but I was waiting for a revelation!

Also watched Ouija the other day. It started off way better than I thought, I liked the timeframe, but the ending was rushed and so anticlimactic.

The first or second Ouija? The first one wasn't bad and had a decent twist. The second one was pretty good IMO, really enjoyed it.

I watched "Mother!" 2 nights ago and well...if you want to watch a movie about house parties, raves and all the shenanigans that occur in these...perfect movie. Yet in regards to Horror....effing disappointing.

"Mother" isn't really a horror movie. Apparently, it's a parable of the creation of the Earth. I thought it was pretty good. The acting was spectacular, and it definitely should have been up for a couple of Oscars.

For actual parent-related horror, the just issued on DVD/BluRay "Mom and Dad" is worth a look, especially if you are a fan of Nicolas Cage and Selma Blair, who play the scenery-chewing parents in a tale that sees all parents suddenly filled with the desire to literally kill their own kids (and only their kids, which differentiates it from other worldwide rage films like "Cell" and "The Crazies".) Lance Henriksen of "Aliens" and "Near Dark" also appears as Cage's father.

Any watch “Veronica” on Netflix? It has the hype behind it already. I’ll probably give it a watch this weekend.
