Yeah there are two versions to the ending, when she is still in the cave is the European version they changed it to the other ending for USA audiences for a happier ending.

Descent 2 was alright.

Stupid sheriff guy handcuffing himself to the lead character..LOL.

Also didn't like the ending.. WHO THE HELL IS ED? Why did he do that to Rios?

Descent 2 only exists because they made a stupid alternate ending for American audiences.

Watch Descent 1 with the original theatrical ending.

Watched The Babysitter: Not terrible. Not great. Solid B- teen popcorn horror/gore flick. Fits in nicely with the Final Destination genre.

Also saw The Ritual: I actually really really liked it. The psychological trauma aspect seemed nicely balanced (IMO) as something which haunts the "main" character but doesn't overshadow the primary source of terror. The monster is original (as far as movies go, I realize it's a creature of ancient lore and thus far from original) and really well done. If you go into this thinking of it as "The Blair Witch Project: Euro Edition" you will love it.

Side not: Bonus points because the character named Rob is a tragic and beloved character in this film. Not a douche bag like every other Rob in every other movie. Seriously, one of the laziest bits of screenwriting is when a movie goes "Oh, we've got a character with frosted tips who snowboards and acts like a total perv? Let's name him Rob!" The Ritual and the original Cloverfield will always have a special place in my heart for having the courage to go against this trend and make their Rob's decent human beings.

Just watched "Quiet Place" may not be for everyone. It was different but I really liked it. Considering a good portion of the movie is pretty quiet I am glad I didn't have to watch it with any loud/annoying people.

Really excited for this. Really enjoy both Krasinski and Emily Blunt. Really hoping for a stellar weekend for both of them with this movie. Hopefully #1 at the box office.

I am really worried about seeing this in a theater. Far too many people running their mouths during movies, and this seems like one that could easily be ruined by it.

I watched this last night ... laughed more than a few times.

Terrible overall, but it did have some highlights.

I agree. Normally there aren't many people on the early release Thursday nights at the theater I go to but there were about 2-3x the amount of people I'm used to. Like I said, I lucked out and no one was really obnoxious or anything. The movie can easily be ruined by loud people since much of it relies on being quiet and when there is sound its important people are really into the movie to get the full effect.

Oh and onto a different topic. My girlfriend just got me into "Stranger Things" since our cable no longer works in our bedroom and I don't have the adaptor for digital, thanks Spectrum. I must say this is one of, if not my favorite series I have ever watched. The only negative is I am not getting much sleep. I just can't stop watching it.

Worst enemy are teens and certain loud folks.

We have 3 theaters near my town.

The one by the mall, has too many teens and those certain loud folks. I've never even attempted to go to that theater.

The 2nd one is located in a better area w/plenty of places near by to hang out and eat. A perfect place for teens w/$ to hang out. I rarely go there anymore.

The 3rd one is also the newest one and has them DBox seats. It's not in the best area and nothing near by to eat/hang out. This is the one I usually go to.

I watched "8 mile" on 8 mile Rd in Detroit and this lady answered her ringing phone in the middle of the theater and started talking for about 2 minutes. I will not be watching A Quiet Place at that theater. Can't wait to see it though

That was like 15 years ago. I'm sure she's not there anymore.

Loved A Quiet Place. Well worth the watch. Not much to add, but definitely worth going to see even if it's just to give your money to the horror movie genre (even though this probably falls in line with more of a thriller).

Tend to agree with you here. Especially giving some money toward a horror/thriller/suspense film. Thought it was a good flick for the money. And luckily I got to be in a (mostly) quite theater.

I tend to go into a movie like this knowing that there will be elements which are not explained, or left unexplained. But the one element that stuck in my mind was (trying not to post spoiler)...First scene, desperate situation. Requiring a finite resource. Never to be eluded to again? Don't know why that stuck with me...

I'm watching Halloween 4 right now and it always pissed me off that they used that crappy mask rather then one that looked like the box art!

You guys heard the story behind the mask used in the original Halloween right? They had no real money to spend so picked up the cheapest mask at a Halloween costume/Magic shop which was a crummy looking Captain Kirk Star Trek mask & painted it white.
