I thought about covering it up. What I'm leaning towards at this second is keeping the original in tact but having it duplicated and colored (or digitally colored). Probably in February when my wallet recovers. Going to do the same with the Artgerm convention sketch.

So how did that work with CGC? Did you check your books out before you got in line and then a rep stood in line with you for an hour?

They had a desigated rep during thier signings, who called a runner over to bring the books to the booth. I checked my books out with the designated rep 5 minutes before the signing started.

Smile Welcome Home!

This is a BEAUTIFUL set. I think I may have to buy a wall mount to show these off

I love Connor's style, and the LBB#1 cover is my favorite of hers. Bummer it came in at 9.6, and was the only book I didn't sub in duplicate

And of course

So many emotions associated with this one. I am feeling an urge to have a Signature Series set with the red and hybrid versions of this Gen 13 homage.

That is great. His style is so simple, but turns out so nice. To bad he never does that many shows besides SDCC.

I always hope he will do NYCC, but he never does. I would even be willing to go to Baltimore or Boston if he was doing an appearance. I have a friend who does SDCC almost every year, but I couldn't ask her to waste that much time standing on line on my behalf.

My ebay bucks went towards this combined shipping purchase. Was waiting to find one of the BA12 reprints for a bit less, but they aren't flooding ebay like the first set has. Black Cat isn't a major focus of my collection outside of JSC covers, but I am a big Black Cat fan. I pick up some books here and there, and will probably be focusing more on Black Cat next year as my Carnage and TMNT PC gaps disappear. Enjoy

Added these to my Campbell collection this week. Have got the color version of HQ LBB #1 Campbell on the way and a CGC shipment due Tuesday. *Might* be my last update for a while since I've got a couple expensive original art purchases I'd like to make. Gonna put some fun money aside and hope they are still available when I have enough. Wish me luck

These arrived from CGC today. Absolutely LOVE this cover and Bruce Timm's style in general. I wish he would do a NYC/Philly area show. I would wait on that line for as many hours as I have to.

Extras are listed in my for sale thread and on ebay.

Managed to put this set together from a few different auctions for about $136. Pretty happy with the price. Haven't seen a ton of these go up for auction. I'm surprised the JSC + Harley Quinn isn't more highly sought after. Granted, its not his best cover and it was a open edition type variant, but with all the polybag issues I figured the 9.8s would climb higher.

Nice work, that's a great price. Everyday I see Campbell slabs on eBay for dirt cheap.. not sure if it's the same seller or maybe people recouping from the holidays but it's shocking.

Got my last two books back from NYCC. They went to CSS first because they were all dinged up. Happy to get a 9.8 on one. That is why I always try to sub at least 2

Picked this one up on ebay by auction, coincidentally during an ebay bucks promotion. I thought $68 delivered was a great deal on HQ's 3rd appearance in CBCS 9.8, but the $5 in bonus bucks made it even sweeter.

I also have a piece of OA coming that I'm VERY excited about. Cannot wait for it to arrive!

EDIT: And the OA is here! Carnage V2 #16 pg 8 by Mike Perkins (ink over pencils, old school style).

First of all, for anybody who is interested, I have a good bit of my collection scanned and uploaded to Flickr now. Feel free to check it out if you'd like. I only post the highlights in this thread, but I'm hoping to keep the Flickr a little more complete with what I consider to be my PC.

Spider-Fan's Comic Book Collection

Was happy to received these back from CGC. These were just submitted at a convention in November and included a CSS pressing. Turnaround times have really gotten great post convention season Hopefully they stay that way for a while, since I'm planning on a guaranteed 9.8 (or maybe 9.6) submission pretty soon. Mike Zeck is one of the nicest industry guys you'll ever meet. Mark Bagley is more of an acquired taste.

Got a shipment from my subscription service this week, including this recent favorite Looking to upgrade to a Signature Series, depending on who appears at NYCC this year.

And a recent Hughes sketch pick-up. I may decide to let go of my Spider-Gwen, since I much prefer the Black Cat.

And a little premature teaser... The start of a pile of books I'm hoping to get signed by Joe Jusko at a convention in April. The letterbox covers will all go to CGC for Signature Series grading. The older one will just be signed and displayed for nostalgia Spider-Man and Spider-Gwen on the way

Some recent auction wins. Would like these in 9.8, but couldn't beat the price on these 9.6s. I did bid on a couple of 9.8s, but ended up losing.

2nd & 3rd appearances of Harley Quinn in mainstream DCU canon
