Default New Alien set from Upper Deck

Excited for this one! Curious what the "old-school approach" for the base set will look like? Only bummer is you only get 90 cards per box, but it's a 100 card set.

Very Cool they are making another Alien Set with a Focus on the 1st Movie. Android Parts, Mineral Ore and the Shadowbox Cards Seem like they could have lots of potential to be very cool looking and Collectible. My Concern is How much per box(Price in the $70's or closer to $110's) and how many Double Manufactured Relic boxes per case.

Sadly I think the days of sub-$100 UD boxes are long gone.

I wonder if they saved Weaver stickers from Anthology

Haven't seen the base or inserts but I have seen the sketch card stock having spoken to a few artists on the set. Design looks ok but I'll leave off feedback until some official pics are released

Quite a few restrictions this time round in terms of characters on the block list from what I'm hearing

Can only assume they'll be an Aliens movie follow up to this. My wallet just did a little cry

Be nice to get a John Hurt cut auto in this, do UD ever do those?

Do sketch artists not sign the same agreements I do? Imagine the day the card companies start cracking down on this stuff, there are going to be a lot of sad artists.

Folks, you're professionals. Start treating these contracts you sign with some professionalism.

Wasn't trying to cause an issue, I've known about this set for a couple of months now purely because I'm a huge alien fan and sketch collector and a bit too keen! Just what I'd heard from pestering a few friends.

Anyway, enough of me putting my foot in it, I can't wait for this set and I really hope there's a nice new auto or two along with loads of great Sketch art!!!

I really, really hope Phil Back is a sketch artist for this set. His alien ink drawings are excellent.

Edit: also, it looks like you could potentially get 2 manufactured items (manufactured patch and android/ore piece)

Really like his style. Hope there's some black ink sketches to mix it up a little. Good to have variety and subject lends itself well to intricate black and white sketches for sure

Yeah those are just a few of his Alien sketches. He does some really nice black ink work and really isn't on anyone's radar, which is a shame.

I would have preferred the Big Trouble in Little China set happen personally, but whatever. As an autograph collector, there isn't a ton of appeal to this because UD already released cards of the 5 living stars of this movie. Not a lot more can be done to increase that appeal or expand on the cast unless they got Hurt to sign before he passed. Would be nice to see more Weavers released so they are more obtainable.

And IF, and that's a huge IF my cards get approved, this will be the last set I participate in from Upper Deck.

I have AP's available for commission though, two of them. Currently available, as well as two from the last set.

I'll probably wait for it to come out onto e-pack depending on the price. As others said it would be downright sick to get two manufactured hits in your box.

I still really hope Phil Back was asked to participate in this product as his alien ink is just awesome.

Sales will be very slow for this product, UD needs to move onto a different franchise IMO.

OK I am really really liking this. That box is cool and the way those autographs slide is super cool.

As beautiful as it looks, and as much as I want to get a ton of this... 179.99 a box (9.99 a pack) with this breakdown?

2017 Upper Deck Alien Movie Hobby Box Break
1 Manufactured Semiotic Patch Card
1 Other Hit
(Autograph, Sketch, Alien Egg Shadow Box, Android Parts OR Mineral Ore)
1-2 Parallels

Dunno if I can do that...
