Default Neal Adams variant covers GALORE!!

Someones been busy.

Neal Adams Covers February For DC Comics
A true industry legend will display how he earned that status when Neal Adams renders 26 covers that are solicited in the December PREVIEWS for February shipping. Each cover will be based on a classic Adams cover, but will feature different characters, and each will be inked by a guest inker to be announced.

A list of variant covers being released by Neil Adams.

I wish they were being released as sketches, they look awesome. Article says Final Art will be colored.

Neal Adams is full of himself. I've never spoken to him personally but from everything I hear and when I see him at cons he just looks like a douche.

Believe it or not 3 years ago at Mega Con in Orlando I sat down at his booth and was getting him to sign some books for me(personal collection) and he asked what I did and told him that I was a history major but had been recently working with historical archaeology in Virginia for the past summer and his eyes lit up and we ended up talking about history and archaeology for at least an hour and a half.

I happen to like Neal Adams. Might have to pick up a few of these. I do like the Detective comics as it's a homage to Batman #227, which itself was an homage to Detective #31 - It's like the Double Secret Probation of Comic covers!

I didn't even bother to walk by his massive block of tables -- with all them prints and blah blah blah.

And yes, he looked piss off for some reasons --- and I am happy about that.

It would be killer if they could give the colors that older pigment look that they had during that era.. give it that vintage vibe. Im guessing they'll be bright and shiny on DC glossy paper..boo.

Oh, his art skills is awesome .... but his personality and fan-interaction skill -- how many bleep and censored words can I used to describe?

And with every books I purchased, a percentage of it will continue to expand his already "globe-size" ego ... thanks but no thanks!

I guess he's a dick at conventions. I still like his art, and he's a legend.

it is not a noob question ... !

If you ever seen him at convention ... you will see what I am talking about.

I made a mistake by liking his work AND want to meet the man in person and PAID for a sketch from my "favorite artist" file.

To make it short and simple --- I would have ripped up my money in front of him and tossed them at him and walk away empty handed ... before I paid for any sketch being done!

.... But I thought better --- since there are plenty of other struggling artists and some of them I have the pleasure to call my friends --- I would support them instead padding his over-sized ego.

Always a bummer when people whose skills you appreciate turn out to be d-bags...
