AEW Wrestling Discussion Thread
Figured this needed to be done considering the amount of people talking about it in the WWE section.
Looking forward to the release of their show. Jericho-Omega 2 should be another classic! |

Very excited for AEW. The WWE is pretty much dead to me. It’s unwatchable. With a legit billionaire backing them, there is serious potential.

Couldn't agree more. The "comedy" gimmicks are way to cringy. Cut the Lucha Houseparty and the New Day, then they might go some where. Doubt it though.

They seem to have a pretty good roster forming up.i really hope it pushes wwe to perform better and we end up with multiple good products.

Totally agree, competition is always a good thing for the fans and consumers of a product.

I wander who will do the cards? I would bet wwe would not be happy if topps did them, plus I think it could be leaf since some of their main guys already do some leaf stuff. but who knows if Panini might use nfl ties to get through the kahn family.

Does anyone know when their first show is supposed to be or are there no dates in place yet?

I'm not a big fan of most of the AEW people but I'll reserve judgment until they get a tv deal and the finances of that tv deal come out. More people and money in the game is always a good thing. ROH has picked up significantly in terms of going out and trying to replace the talent they just lost. I'm sure WWE will start upping their offers especially to talent so they don't leave. Could also see them cut back on house shows for people to lighten their load. I'm interested to see how Double or Nothing is shot and produced as they won't have access to what they had last time.

I was thinking about that as well although I am sure it will be a while before that becomes an issue. I am sure the Topps/WWE deal is exclusive both ways. I thought Tristar did a good job with the TNA stuff.

Loved Tristars design. Shame nobody really collected them and their value really went down the drain. Wouldn't mind at all if they did it

I went to All In and even though a large part of the card I haven't really followed I had an absolute blast and the wrestling itself was top notch! I plan on trying to get tickets to see Double or Nothing. I'm a gambler so I always have a free room in Vegas whenever I want to go and flights are typically cheap. Really looking forward to it!

I'm curious to see who will be AEW's version of Christian Cage, and leave WWE for there.

Maybe after a year of run time we'd see some cards but I wouldn't expect to have packs to rip right out of the gate. |

I'm gonna buy a ticket today for Double or Nothing, I try to go to any show that is on the west coast when I get a chance to. I signed up for an early access code to get them. Not sure if it will work for multiple uses, but I can message it to those that are interested after I get my ticket, when they go on sale at noon. Pretty stoked about the event myself. I'm in Reno so its a quick and inexpensive flight to Vegas. And the Monday after is a holiday, so might as well make a trip out of it.

Was able to get a lower concourse seat facing the stage for a pretty solid 126. Tried to get a floor seat but those things were sold out by the time I was able to pick a ticket.

I couldn’t even get through. Unfortunate, but I’ll be there somehow. This is as excited as I’ve been about wrestling in a long time. Batista is the latest name being rumored. Even if he’s just using them for leverage, it’s good for the business.

Any word on how this stuff will end up being broadcast? |

Double or Nothing will most likely be on Fite. Maybe NJPW world if AEW can work on an agreement to share talent. Jericho can work with NJPW still and Kenny can also according to news regarding their contracts. I believe ALL IN was $40 to stream last year on Fite.
