Default Card shops / bookstores / record shops / breweries on the West Coast?

Hi guys,

I will travelling to the West Coast in August, taking a trip from Seattle to L.A.

Do you have any recommendation of cool card shops?

Also looking for nice bookstores (Ooga Booga in Los Angeles), record shops (I should find some cool vinyls in Portland) & breweries

Thanks for the help,
Vincent

There is a huge boom store called Powells in downtown Portland. Super cool and gigantic. As for brewery's......it's called Beervana for a reason. Just pick a street. Also, for something crazy, go to Voodoo Donuts while there and enjoy.

Portland is awesome, also there is a sweet shop in Beaverton called the Sportsroom at Mitchell's, check that out. Tons of breweries and what not in Portland as well.

Turn, turn, turn, is a pub, bookstore, and used vinyl store-bam!

Music millenium(burnside)--go across the street to laurelhurst deli/meats, then walk up to se 21st. And crossroads music -hawthorne area should pacify you. Hawthorne area has just about everything for a fun day--quarter world (video game arcade), 20 pubs, hipster joints, boutiques, theatre, and some decent places to eat.

We're going to Portland in July and your itinerary looks like mine (especially looking for some good record shops) - I'll report back

I am of no help, but the list of stops you are attempting to make is excellent! Mix in a few hours of mountain biking, or a stop at the local aquarium and it would be a perfect day for me!

Enjoy your trip and good luck setting up a great itinerary.

You got to go to Amoeba records in Hollywood on sunset. One of the few record stores left in LA.
