Default Deadpool 2: ***SPOILERS*** thread

went to see it last night. kinda in the middle with how I feel about it.

Some stuff had me rolling, but a lot of stuff REALLY fell flat for me.

To me the best part of the movie was the mid credits with him "fixing the timeline"

However, they made Juggernaut bad ass. My only complaint wiht him is to not give him the line of "I'm the juggernaut bithc" like he had in the X3. I don't care if it was already done. Movies like deadpool give nods to things like the video those guys created years ago, and that was a big miss for me.

Overall,I thought it was a pretty good movie for what it set out to be, but felt like it could have done a couple more things to knock it out of the park.

The movie was okay, which is what I expected. I liked how the movie incorporated Deadpool's grey uniform at the end and the explanation for why the X-Men weren't there. And continually poking DC was good.

Saw it last night as well. I'd say it's on par with the first one. It did some things better, and some things not as well. It was definitely funny and very entertaining. And what's most amazing is that there are moments (Colossus v Juggernaut) that are more comic book-y than any previous X-Men movie.

I won't spoil the cameos here but the Vanisher and Redneck #1 were played by A-List actors.

I thought this was a step down from the original. Some great one liners and special effects. Still worth watching though.

I read an article on line about a scene cut where he kills baby Hitler after the credits.....

I liked it but didn't love it. Seemed to be a bit all over the place. I think a focus on the action and drama took away from the comedy a bit. It felt like more like a normal superhero movie with blood and swearing now compared to the first one.

The team jumping from the helicopter sequence was brilliant.

I'm not sure the best way to put it but I liked the flow in the first one better. It was still very enjoyable but the opening act could have been trimmed way down.

I think every single person so far has nailed it. The first one was so different and unique and, frankly, just so good that this one needed to do some great things to even be on par with it and it just didn't. A lot of the joke were not even funny. Got better as it went along, but overall it was just alright.

Deadpool 3; his ripped off torso down grows a new body and it’s Pool vs Pool.

for the people who didn't love it, I'm curious, were you big into the comic books? Or more of a die-hard Deadpool or Marvel fan?

I only ask, because I loved it. But I'm not into the comic books are really into the Marvel Universe much. So I'm curious if the jokes were more mainstream to appeal to people like me, but I wonder if that turned off some of the diehards.

I was dying with the whole X-Force/helicopter sequence.

Comedy is very subjective. Not everyone is going to laugh the same at the same thing. I think the first one not only is funny, but it comes out of nowhere since you're not expecting it. This one, you are expecting it. I will say that the opening credits for this were great and had me laughing. The X-Force scene is also a great scene in terms of expectation versus reality.

I think I can put it simply. To me, anything that really dealt with Cable and Russel was meh at times. Anything with Colossus, Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and Weasel was amazing.

Watch Reynolds vs Brolin insults on YouTube. Some people will find RR funnier, some Brolin. I’m in the Brolin camp. I just don’t find Reynolds funny.

I think it had bigger highs than the first - the team parachuting into action, the new legs, poking fun at Rob Liefeld, and the greatest post-credit scene yet.

But it felt flatter in parts than the first, it was less consistent in the middle.

But it was still great fun, I'm looking forward to seeing it again.

I was underwhelmed and thought that some of the script felt forced. I didn’t care for the scenes that included Russell. Domino was the best part of the movie for me.

Morena Baccarin is absolutely stunning.

Finally saw it last night. Another winner. Very funny throughout, and a rare example of a movie being significantly better than the source material (particularly the earliest Deadpool comics). Looking forward the DP3 already...

Finally got to see the new Deadpool, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The Colossus vs. Juggernaut fight was something I have been waiting to see on the big screen for quite some time. DP getting ripped in half was a surprise, and the baby leg follow up was damn funny. The new characters were also enjoyable, and I was surprised, in a good way, by the quick deaths after they jumped from the chopper.
