Default JuJu Smith-Schuster Suspended

Where’s gorillaz? He’s always on top of this.

Juju suspended one game for the hit on Burfict. Say what you want about Burfict, but that deserved a suspension, just like Gronk.

Saw that coming.

A little surprised by this one. If this is a one game suspension I can't imagine how the Gronk play has the same punishment. I figured this one would be a fine. Looks like the league is cracking down on these types of plays now.

Loved the hit Juju put on Burifict. It just looked worse when he stood over him but so what. It was more on Burifict for not keeping his eyes downfield and not protecting himself. Oh Boo Hoo

Did not love the one that Iloka put on AB. That was extremely dirty.

Agreed, I view all three of these hits (Gronk, Iloka, JuJu) differently. I'm not sure a one-game-fits-all type of ruling works here, but I guess it's better than letting it go completely.

The hit looked bad, but it was a clean hit. I think the reason he is suspended is because of the taunting after, and what happened to Shazier earlier in the game.

I thought Iloka had 2 suspension worthy hits in the game so doesn't bother me at all.

How the hell is it a clean hit when he lowers his helmet into the jaw of another player, making sure he gets him in the least protected spot of his upper body.

Not saying burfict didn't have it coming, but still.

Don't think he should have gotten a suspension at all. Wasn't helmet to helmet and he didn't lead with his head. Can't believe Gronkowski got 1 game for what he did and Juju received the same. Doesn't make sense. The NFL front office is such a joke.

Didn't see Iloka's until just now. That was a dirty hit. Clearly led with his helmet.

Gotta love the NFL.

to me Gronk's should have of been 2 games as the player was laying on the ground defenseless when he went HAYSTACKS CALHOUN on him...and the hit on Burfict was perfectly legal..the suspension should be for standing over him after, and taunting....the head to head by Iloka was definitely the worst of the bunch I saw and should definitely draw a 2 game suspension...

Did you hear the interview after the game with JuJu? They were asking about the hit on Burfict and all you could hear in the background was Antonio Brown saying "karma", over and over again..........needless to say next year's game will be a continuation of last nights.

You really don't think he was trying to do anything more than block him do you? The game moves too fast to try to put a helmet to the jaw of a moving player.

How can you love Juju for an illegal hit but say Iloka is extremely dirty.

Juju had flags thrown for his hit and taunting. Go back and see the play that created rule. Hines Ward breaking Keith Rivers jaw. But the Bengals are the dirty ones.

Can't dislike one and praise the other. JuJu showed he was intentionally trying to hurt Burfict with the taunting after intentionally using his helmet with his hit. If the players want to lay someone out, you can do it, and you can do it without trying to hurt the guy. These guys are supposed to be professionals, and JuJu showed that he isn't. Same with Iloka. Tomlin was trying to make it sound like JuJu was trying to get back at the Bengals for Shazier getting hurt, regardless of the fact that Shazier caused his own injury, which just verifies it. Iloka did the hit on Brown specifically because of the hit to Burfict, so it was a retaliation of a retaliation, which just makes them all look bad.

These rules are in place to make sure that the NFL doesn't become a historical footnote. They're also in place to try to make sure that the players won't have to deal with CTE when they're older, or at least minimize it as much as they can. The game is changing to better protect the health of its players, and you either applaud it because it needs to change, or the games dies because parents don't want to allow their kids to play football because they don't want to let them kill themselves.

The juju hit was as legal as they come. That was shoulder to sternum. The taunting was garbage.

He clearly lowered his helmet. Now you may believe he was too stupid to understand if you lower your helmet and run into the upper body of a player you might hit the other players head, but that is a sad excuse.

Brown still complaining about a perfectly legal hit, what almost two years later. SMH

The taunting was a little excessive but JuJu clearly led with his right shoulder. If he were trying to hurt Burfict he would have led with the top of his helmet into the jaw, but you can clearly see that wasn't the case.

When you lower your head it's called leading with the helmet. It's really that simple. Something that is taught over and over. Don't lower your helmet. Now after their helmets hit, their shoulders hit. That doesn't change the fact he lowered his helmet.

You can see his right shoulder turn in towards Burfict right before contact. Yeah his helmet might have made first contact but it definitely doesn't look like he was trying to lead with his helmet.
