Allowing your 15 year old son any abililty to use your charge cards ,accounts of anything is ridiculous, parents should be held responsible.

100% agree. This is on both the kid and the parents. Both need to learn that there are consequences of your actions/inactions.

At what point does their credit card company alert them to suspicious activity. 150,000 is crazy.

I missed the part where the parents allowed this...did they really? This changes my perception of the purchases.

His dad has a very high position at GE and his whole family is very wealthy. 150k is not as much to them as it is to normal people in the hobby.

Yeah if a 15-year-old kid did this without permission from his parents, then refund would be the way to go.

Huh?

His dad is Aris Kekedjian

Chief Investment Officer and head of Corporate development for GE

https://www.ge.com/about-us/leadersh...aris-kekedjian

Is it really right to say they don't have the money to pay for these cards?

Here's an article about how the kids dad orchestrated a $280 billion dollar GE sale

http://www.afr.com/business/energy/i...0150831-gjbsft

But they have to return cards and file fake disputes. Ok.

Well the son did spend 150k without the permission of his parents, they do have the right to try and return the items but saying that they can't afford it is a little ridiculous.

Kids shouldn't be held responsible for the mistakes of their parents.

I think a couple of broken knee caps will help curtail his buying binge.

Default Brandonscards1

Kid bought a ton of monsters and now is trying to return cause he spent 150k on his parents cards. Pretty nuts.

Bought the Wiggins Embiid dual logo book and others.

I saw this kid on IG showing off his collection, and it had me wondering. Geesh. Makes you wonder how often this kind of stuff happens.

Edit: He bought the Ohtani Bowman Chrome Atomic Auto 20/100 for $22k and actually paid. This card now sells for $3,000...

Sounds fishy to me. Seems like either the bank or cc company would have stopped it sooner.
