At about $6 profit so far today. I'm loving these football weekends!

Also picked up some more cards for cheap.

I've just started to dabble in the last month or so with COMC. I haven't sent anything in of my own yet, just attempted to do some flipping. I put in $100 and bought up $100 in cards to flip (I did buy up a bunch of stuff for my PC, and a couple to flip on ebay, but I used other deposits to cover those.)

Just jumping in like this probably wasn't the best way to go, but I tried to buy a decent mix of stuff to see what would happen.

So far, in about a month, I've sold 7 cards of my 28 "flip" purchases for $44.55. The highest price I got was $17 for a card I paid $10. Then $12 for an $8 purchase. The rest were much smaller, but most sales I doubled my $ or better. Today someone came and cleared me out of the few Davante Adams cards that I had.

So far I think I'm doing OK, but much of the other stuff I have will probably be pretty slow moving as I didn't really research the sites volume for the cards I picked up. I will probably look to send in a couple hundred cards in the next couple weeks and see if I can move some of the stuff I have that I am too lazy to list on ebay.

Anyway, interesting site, I don't really have the time to spend researching the "steals", but it has been pretty fun so far.

It's not a card I'd be interested in. I guess I don't understand it.

----

Anyways, I bought a Anthony Davis autograph RC for $145. Relisted it for $250, but I don't expect it to sell for $250 if it sells.

It's a card I wouldn't mind keeping, so I'm happy either way.

Sold $32 worth of James Harden rookie cards to the same person. Odd thing was the buyer bought 6 cards of mine at higher prices than another seller's card. $11 profit.

I know this was a month ago but this is the first I saw this thread.

In my 3 years of being on Comc I've bought and flipped 5 cards (not including port purchases), this was my best only taking 3 hours to sell after I bought it.

Could you experts please explain to me the difference between the two selling modes? I'm still not sure what the benefit is of one over the other, or if it really even matters much at all and is just a preference. Thanks.

the advanced reseller doesn't have the 25 cent charge on it, but i would be charged the 25 cents/card if i wanted to ship my cards to me. this is what i use.

the other mode has the 25 cent charge already tacked on, so you would just pay whatever the shipping rate is when you want the cards sent to you.

And any buyer who doesn't also have advanced on will get the 25 cent charge passed on to them.

If you buy in regular mode your cost is $0.25 more but your buyer pays $0.25 less (if you're flipping).

Worth considering when pricing.

So whenever I want to resell a card I should always be in advanced mode?

Really great week of sales for me. Here are some recent ones:

1967 Topps Joe Pepitone B: $1.80 S: $2.60
2014 Elite Pujols B:0.25 S:0.54
2014 Finest Alex Guerrero Auto B:$3.19 S: $4.18 (Less than an hour after purchase)
1998 Tradition Frank Thomas B: .43 S: .57
2010 Platinum Robles Auto B: .58 S: $1.00
2005 Leather/Lumber Dale Murphy Auto B: $7.05 S: $10.73

Had a larger group of flips that sold last week. Nothing huge, ranging from .07 to $4+

Has anyone ever bought cards from COMC and then made a 'profit' by selling them elsewhere like Listia??

Not on Listia, but I've bought cards from COMC to sell here and on eBay.

Do you guys only buy cards to flip that have 1 listed, so that way if someone wants that card they have to buy yours? Seems like the most logical way to flip but I have no experience doing it.

Yes, it's one strategy. Key is still to squeaze a great price when buying it, then more room to adjust the new price accordingly.

Another strategy is to target items that have 4 or less cards listed, safer in my humble experience.
