Default Did you own a WATER BED?

Did you own a water bed? What were your likes and dislikes about sleeping on one? Why did you get rid of it?

Yes. Loved it. I thought it was comfortable. As I got older, my back would get sore. I also worked different hours from my wife, and getting in would wake her. Insurance is higher because of potential leaks. To be honest, I didn't even know they made water beds anymore.

I had one when I was a kid. I liked it, but I'd always end up between the mattress and side, so now I always sleep on the edge of the bed.

I wondered why I’m always on the edge. I think you figured it out for me. I had a couple, one ended up leaking. Huge mess. My current bed is overdue for the garbage.

Had one as a kid. My dad insisted we all have one. I am a restless sleeper so it was difficult. I was pretty happy when we got real beds. Heated option was nice on the winter.

I've had 3 in my life. I liked them all, but the last one I had was motionless and it was probably my favorite. Got rid of them each time just because we moved and sold them so we didn't have to tear down and re-assemble.

I grew up sleeping on one as a kid all the way to my junior year of high school. Probably explains my poor posture.

I had one. It wasn't comfortable. I gave it to a neighbor after a while.

I slept on a regular mattress on a houseboat so does that count as a waterbed?

Had one from 18-21. After I found out I was gonna be a dad, she made me get rid of it.

I had a king size when I was a kid, around 12. Parents were buying me a new bed and the kings were on clearance.

It was pretty cool, my cousin lived with us at the time and we discovered that if you took off the sheets and poured baby oil on it became a lethal slip n slide...Right into the headboard

Had one when I was younger. My parents got a new bed frame so I took the old one. I had one of the wavy mattresses. I did not really like it after awhile. They still use one to this day but they use the firm mattress.

I don’t know of many people who still use them. Cheaper than a normal mattress but they aren’t very comfortable.

I actually didn't know they were cheaper. Hell, I didn't even know they were still available.

I came from a real tough neighborhood. I bought a waterbed and found a guy at the bottom of it

Had a hand me down when I was a kid. I would hide papers and other kid junk under there. One day it was leaking cause I had a pair of kid scissors under there. My old step dad beat my ass lol

My grandparents had one at one point, they eventually eliminated the mattress and kept the frame of it, putting a firm mattress in it and its like sleeping on concrete, still trying to get them to get a real mattress and frame to this day.

Much cheaper. I think $400-$500 on the high end. You’re average good mattress is gonna cost around a grand.

My original is still in my childhood bedroom. The water hasn't been conditioned or the heat turned on in like 20 years. I'm afraid of how they are even going to get rid of it someday.
