Amazing! My friend has been telling me for years golf doesn't need Tiger because of all the young talent. I beg to differ. First time I've cared about golf n a very long time

There are great up and coming young talents at the tour no doubt.
Speith, Justin Thomas, Rickie Fowler, Dustin, Koepka, Rahm, and Rory to name a few.

Even with all that talent. Only 1 person is transcendent generational talent/figure.
The one and only. Tiger Woods.
He is the only one who can capture the audience like he did yesterday.
It was unbelievable sight. and it was Great!

Tiger is BACK!

With Tiger being back and so many good young players that still don't have official cards, this would be a great time for UD to put out a new golf set.

Is it really a matter that many of the big names don't want to sign?

I pulled this out of the final pack of one of my two boxes of 2017 Goodwin Champions. I considered selling it today for like a split second. Then I came to my senses.

How many tour wins does Tiger get this year? I say 2 or 3. Top 20 finish at Torrey, one of the hardest courses on tour. This year should be pretty exciting.

I think he gets one win. Hard to say if he gets more than that though, the competition is much better these days. It also all depends on how healthy Tiger can be during the year.

I love Nicklaus too, but Tiger has transcended the sport on such a global scale that it's hard to even compare them at this point. I would group them as such until Tiger overtakes The Golden Bear.

Nicklaus 1.a
Woods 1.b

I had a 1997-99 BCCG 10 Grand Slam Masters Woods out there for $149, sold in 2 minutes. Yesterday I couldn't give it away for $50.

Hobby boxes are being bought every 1 minute. All the deals for $149.99-$200.00 are gone for SP Authentic

When I hit my Tiger auto... 2014 SP Authentic was being dumped at 45-50/box? Sigh... fond memories. Now I just need Rory to win a few more!

I'm tired of hearing Tiger, Tiger, Tiger. Was hoping someone else would win. But it didn't happen once again. Congrats Tiger, one of the top 10 golfers of all time.

Golf had to have both Tiger & Jack. Golf feeds off of the comparisons and the relevance of what each provided to the sport. Without either of the two, Most records that should be challenged wouldn't have a sniff's chance. We needed both to be considered GOAT. It gives relevancy to watching and debating who should be at the pinnacle.

Chris Chase of USA Today gives 11 reasons why Jack should be GOAT and we already have received why Tiger should be.

I give Tiger credit for overcoming because he didn't give up when injuries, divorce and the decisions he made snowballed on him. Jack is a legacy of excellence and professionalism and when he faded, the PGA was in desperation of requiring somebody to give resurgence back to the sport.

This is my opinion.

Being completely honest here, and knowing this will piss quite a few folks off, this win cements Tiger's status as the GOAT for me. Up until this one, I had the rankings like you did:

1a) Jack
1b) Tiger

And I wouldn't have argued either way... I still won't but this Masters win, completing one of, if not, THE greatest career comebacks in sports history, not only switches the positions of both names but makes me feel comfortable to list them as:

1) Tiger
2) Jack

I'm old enough to have seen both, albeit only the late career resurgence of Nicklaus, but my dad (life-long golf obsessive) has long stated his belief that Tiger is the greatest he's ever seen and after today, I feel safe taking his word for it.

Tiger hasn't won a major since 2008 and hasn't won the Masters since 2005 (and had only one win since 2013 until today). You act like he has been on top of the golf scene year after year for the past decade, when it has been the exact opposite. Tiger has one of the greatest comeback stories ever after winning this Masters. A lot of us never expected Tiger to win another major, let alone the Masters. Him winning is good for the sport of golf.

We need superstars like Tiger or the hobby of buying, collecting and selling dies for their respective sport. Just like Brady, MJ, Trout, Lebron and etc. Today was a win for everyone on this forum even if most don’t care one bit about golf.
