When I saw that heading I was hoping it was some kind of sick joke. Wow.

I don't have the words right now. He meant so much to me and was a huge part of my life. I can't even.

I had just posted the little drummer boy duet with Bing Crosby on my facebook. We were always big fans of his, RIP.

Woke up to this awful news. This country lost the greatest artist it has ever produced.

RIP Thin White Duke.

Best Christmas song ever right there. Bowie was an artist in every sense of the word. RIP Ziggy Stardust.

I don't normally get emotional when a celebrity dies, but damn if I'm not all choked up right now. I've been a fan for a long time; I had just gotten his new album in the mail yesterday and was listening to it earlier today.

Terrible news. One of the best. Saw him in '90 at the Sound and Vision tour when I was 15..

In 2002, in my days of working a stage hand, I was back stage on the loading dock waiting for the load out to start. He walked by with his security and entourage walking to his tour bus. People back stage were still trying to talk to him. Which is crazy considering as stage hands, you're not supposed to do that. Yeah, there was VIPs doing it as well.

The only star I ever seen back stage with a larger entourage was Eminem.

Mind you, there already was house security everywhere. This is their own people, and not techs.

RIP

Have seen him over the years both on major tours as well as when he played the small halls with 'Tin Machine' a true Rock icon that will sadly be missed!

RIP Thin White Duke

RIP. When I was going through my Nine Inch Nails phase I thought "I'm Afraid of Americans" was the coolest thing ever.

Kids: "Oh, that sucks... Who's gonna steal babies now?"
