"Stand" for Stanton, "Rise" for Judge.

But it really does remind me of the ARod/Sheffield adds, except in this case Stanton wasn’t ever coming to Boston.

Who knows how it’ll actually work out, but on paper the Yankees look mighty stacked on offense.

Sox pretty much have to overpay for a guy like JD Martinez now, or find the ‘18 version of ‘04 Schilling.

I think the Yankees can challenge for the strikeout lead in 2018 and I think the Sox pitchers will help them get there...

But yes, the Sox need a power bat and JD Martinez is the best option.

Yeah because out of the entire 40 man roster, exactly 5 players were signed from Free Agency and the rest acquired through home growth or trades. Sure sound likes buying a championship to me.

This cannot be explained to non Yankee fans. Because they have the money to actually keep their players when they get good they deem that as buying a championship.

inequitable trade = buying players.

Nothing about the Stanton trade is equitable.

Winning the offseason does not always translate to winning when it counts.

The best are the ones who think by fronting with "salty, salty, salty!" as a reply somehow makes them less salty.

Was hoping he would go to the Cubs. Well, hopefully the Cubs can pick up some pitching. That is what we really need........

That explains a lot...you can't go back and read any of your own posts to see how ridiculous they are...

It is a secret that he is one skill from being an above average defensive catcher, though. his defensive woes are incredbily overblown. He is catching pitchers he wasnt really familliar with, and insanely hard throwing relievers as well. Its a lot different to adjust on a crossup from a guy throwing 93mph than a guy throwing 98-103mph. severino, chapman, betances, etc. Gray throws down and his stuff breaks hard. He does not have an easy staff to catch, at all. His pass balls are his one bugaboo. Haters better hope he doesn't absolutely crush that this next season because I have a feeling we will not be talking about sanchez's defense after '18.

Strikeouts are not an issue for the Yankees.

In 2017 the Yanks were 3rd in OBP, 4th in Slugging, and 2nd in wRC+.

Their offense gets significantly more potent by adding Stanton to the OF/DH rotation.

I have a hard time believing this was the best offer available for Jeter.

This is the Yankees retirement gift from him IMO.

I’m not arguing his offensive production but this whole post was quite the stretch.

Deals were done with the Cards and Giants....Stanton blocked them....then LA backed out leaving only one option, the Yankees. Save your conspiracy theories for where they belong, politics.....
