Default eBay High End seller Question

So this specifically is about 2 high end TTT football cards I have up at auction at this time, but generally speaking my question is...

How do I politely ask someone if they're going to pay for an item they're biding on?

2 of my auctions have someone with a feedback of 7 as the high bidder and their most recent feedback was 2011

They've been a member of eBay since 2004.

I don't want to seem negative or rude, but I am a little concerned... Plus I don't want people to think the items are being shilled.

Any input (useful, hopefully) would be greatly appreciated!

If he wasn't going to pay, he probably wouldn't be honest anyway. I'd see what happens and relist, if he actually won and didn't pay, or I would then send a second chance offer. If it makes you feel better emailing him, just compose a polite message stating why you are asking him.

Good luck, those often times turn into a big headache and a loss of $$$.

I had a guy earlier this year buy my boat, no feedback since 2010, paid the deposit within a day and brought the rest in cash about a week later.

I would probably just let it ride and hope they pay. Ebay doesnt even allow you to block bidders with feedback of 0. And like someone said, it might just become a big headache. If the person is legit and you send him an email asking if he will pay if he wins then he may become offended and either cancel his bid or leave some kind of negative type of comment on your feedback page. If he isnt legit he will either just lie or just not respond anyways. I really dont see a benefit to messaging him. Also I wouldnt be concerned about other people thinking the guy is schilling. Most people know just because someone has a low feedback score doesnt mean its a schill. You more look at the % of auctions that person bids on with that particular seller and also how they are bidding. If you see someone bidding like 10 times at a dollar at a time that looks like a schill whereas if they just bid one amount once or twice it doesnt.
