Didn't he throw 30-something picks this year?

There are people that place Eli above Peyton due to two Super Bowl rings?

I think 229 career touchdowns to 171 INTS and 58 Fumbles is not very elite.

I think Eli's wins have been legendary... they have been those wins that will live long into NFL lore.

He, himself, isn't.

It is like Joe Namath. His legend is built around Super Bowl III. He wasn't a great QB, IMO.

There are.

They ride/rode the short bus to school.

Eli is a slightly above average QB, he ranks in the Romo/Cutler realm. Not elite.

Eli is not even a top 15 QB. RGIII and Shaub did better then him.

Agree. Namath is a HOFer because of the way he transcended the game and created his own "brand". People LOVED him and the Jets because they wanted to see what Namath was going to do next. Combine that with the legend of Super Bowl III and there you have it.

i don't know about that.

Namath was a different time.

Another year like he had this year, and Eli will struggle to be a starter.

False. Him being one of the worst QBs in the league is all that will tarnish his record and keep his "greatness" from increasing. In time, people will think of him as being a terrible QB who had a lot of luck and a good team to get him rings, whether that was really the case or not.

There is no way Eli Manning is better than Peyton. He had a great team around him and a ton of luck. This season he was one of the worst QBs in the league. Elite QBs obviously don't do that.

Yeah and Terry Bradshaw's 4 Super Bowl wins make him better than Peyton, too.

I'd say throwing less INT's would help more.
