I do prefer the OPC however in a PSA 8 I couldnt pass it up and the centering is pretty strong.

Thanks for looking, hoping to pick up another big one in Aug/Sept.
Amazing, amazing,amazing.
This to me, is what the hobby is all about, not "the new shiny".

These are the type of cards that should always slowly increase in value.

Due to a few personal issues, I have not gotten much recently, but this is inspiring.
Hopefully I can get back on track soon!

Nice stuff as always.

That is a bad card right there, I wish you had a bigger scan though. Congrats on the pickup.

Thanks for the nice comments

I picked up a Jim Brown PSA 3.5 rc. The grade is lower than what I usually grab however I was very happy with the eye appeal dispite the centering. I typically have looked at PSA 5 or 6 examples and found I was drawn to this one.

Nice, saw that and thought about picking it up myself. Congrats on the great addition!

Are you picking up more Montana’s now that they’ve dropped from their peak last year?

Thanks bud, nothing more pretty (in my eyes) than a centered PSA 9 Montana....so, it's on my short list to pick up another!!

Its been a busy year. Got a little side tracked with hobby optic (then realized why I got away from new stuff in the first place so now I'm refocused).

Here are my first 2 pickups of the year, not quite vintage but in my mind that pendulum is swinging and for me the new cut off is around 1986.

1981 Walter Payton PSA 9
1982 Lawrence Taylor PSA 9

I agree, I was shooting for a 6 or better but grew impatient and thought that one looked pretty decent.

Added one of my favorite Walter Payton cards today: 1978 PSA 9

Sorry brother, been away (as you know from my thread) and missed many of these.

So many of these cards we discussed picking them up in PM, thinking of them as good investments. So very well done sir~!

If you want to give Gale Sayers a new home, I would take good care of it, I promise.

VERY NICE~!

With prices down a bit currently, I have been debating on picking up a PSA 9 myself.

Got a few things I'm in the midst of taking care of, and with my recent Mickey Mantle pickups, I may wait a few more weeks before I consider another big card.

Either way, I love it. Without seeing the back of that card, it looks like a borderline 10 from that small image. (my vision isn't the best, but it looks pretty good from what I can see)

Yeah on this one the corners surface and centering are gem, it's the back centering that makes it a 9 which is what u would expect from a card that has gem eye appeal.

Basically, it's the best copy I've seen in 6 months at least. The old rule of thumb that not all 9s are equal is very true. I'm sure I've screened 100 in that time before this one.

I'm looking forward to seeing your pickups!!! Those Mantles are awesome!
