Oh snap. I'm bidding on that. I'll pay that guy off just for the awesome humor involved.

So that's his only current listing, and he has two completed listings that are still showing - collection of kid clothes, and a Babe Ruth cut auto. Interesting combination...haha

It's odd that people find this sellers write up humorous as it lacks wit and creativity and is simply mean spirited using easy stereotypes. I'd think someone would bring the auction to eBay's attention to get it pulled.

Lighten up. It's so okay to laugh at ourselves and at stereotypes every once in a while when it's clearly in a joking and non-threatening manner.

I tend to agree. I didn't find it funny. And not because of what he said, I mean the whole thing.

Seems kind of simple.

The story was a bit offensive but the card was amazing. I'm definitely watching the auction. Hashtag: RipkenTribute.

Unless you are a Mexican who fits his discription, I'm not sure you can say it's ok to laugh at ourselves

It great to laugh at stereotypes....when they aren't about me.

And again I don't really care, I just don't think it is creative.

Ourselves as in humans as a whole (and I say "and at stereotypes" to include all types, not just that of Mexicans). In a situation like this, it's fine to just sit back and laugh. Nobody's getting hurt by it. If it were about white males, I probably would've found it just as entertaining.

However, I understand not everyone thinks that way, so I'll end it here because I know nothing very good tends to come from conversations revolving around a matter like this.

I was at a flea market this past summer watching this lil Mexican dude opening packs of cards and this is what he pulled. He was eating a bean burrito so I grabbed this card out of his hands as fast as I could so he couldn't get bean juice all over it. I don't speak Spanish, but I'm sure what ever he said was a good thing. The card you are bidding on is a 2005 Team Topps Scott Elbert auto signed Ripken tribute. The auto is signed D-Face making this a true 1/1!! I'm sure someone at Topps didn't see this one squeeze through the cracks or it never would have made it into a pack. My new friend Pedro, the man who pulled this bad boy is beaming with excitement over this pull. I agreed to sell this for him so he can have his family moved to the United States to start a new life. They plan on starting a lawn company, or maid service to live the American dream. His wife and 14 kids can't wait to get here legally to thank me personally so please don't let them down. If all go's as planned ill probably let them all live with me and turn his wife into my own personal maid and throw his kids to the wolves. I'll then let Pedro know that America is a cold dark place and he should retreat back to the border. Shipping is $3.65 on this rarity and paypal only please. Thanks!
That is quite the story/sales pitch....WOW!!
