Thanks. Agreed, these medallions actually look VERY nice. And yeah, Carrie being gone is going to hurt for years... No way I sell this one.

I like these medallions too, although I’m surprised we don’t have different color medallion parallels. (I mean, there *are* parallels, but not the gold/silver/bronze medallion variants)

Yeah, the parallels are in the card background. They are the best medallions to date though.

Ackbar is featured on 3 autos. Are they trolling us or what?! Haha

Actually, that is indeed Raddus pictured on the Tim Rose card. He's an inch taller than Ackbar.
Posted my box to the breaks. Veronica Ngo as Paige Tico autograph Base redemption. She's a popular Vietnamese actor and singer and had a pretty nice role in this one. Also, got a base Rey medallion, and it is lovely, adding to the love for this usually maligned "hit". The c-3PO medallion looks particularly nice, given the black and gold. The "character" photos this set uses throughout are very well chosen. I wonder if they're from the Vanity Fair photo shoot. Anyway, If I can punt those two hits, I'll get another box. If not, I'll leave the remainder to the rest of you and pick up a mini-master like usual. Congrats, Ty Hope, on the Leia 1/1, a beautiful memento of her.

? It’s the same image for all three cards, just zoomed in or out. Radius wasn’t even in TLJ and is like a blueish color. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I have four cases coming in tomorrow. Been a while since I touched Star Wars sealed cases. Looking forward to it.

TOPPS Authentics has Dern autos for sale. Kind of a slap in the face to post these now when they should’ve had her for the movie set as a bigger name.

I bought a box of Last Jedi just after seeing the movie yesterday, and it was basically $3.30 a pack, tax included. I was thrilled to see a return of Jedi on trading cards in 1993 after a 10 year absence. That was Star Wars Galaxy and those were about $1.25 per pack. You'd get a foil card once in a while, and artist autograph redemption cards once every case or so. Those lucky enough to find one got a signed card, but with no COA of any kind either on the card or on a separate piece of paper accompanying it. New sets have come non-stop since that one, with no end in sight. I then remembered buying 1977 packs for 16 cents with tax included, Empire in 1980 for 27 cents a pack, and Jedi in 1983 for 43 cents a pack. Those had gum in them, and stickers. What else was there?

Here’s an interesting article in the Washington lost about pricey Star Wars autos (Topps is also namechecked in the article). https://www.washingtonpost.com/busin...=.e5f0ba45c0bb

She'll most likely be in Series 2. Either way, I'm happy with the Americana auto I got of hers a few months back for like $8.

Has Series 2 been confirmed? Topps is already soliciting into June. That would seem a little late for Series 2. I was under the impression that they were scrapping it to focus on the Han Solo movie and cards.

Considering Series 2 hasn't been solicited yet, I could see them instead going right into a Chrome release sometime later in the year. If you look at the way the base cards were designed, with the white (non-ink) "slashes" along the corners, it was done so with Chrome patterns in mind.

I almost past up the red parallel cards, thinking they were base. It wasn't until I had the exact base card next to it, did I realize it was a parallel.
For some reason the green, blue and purple are easier to tell to me. |

I finished breaking my case last night. Any tips to help with sorting? The small numbers are brutal. Makes the round numbers (6, 8, 9) all look the same. Had pull up the checklist to make sure I was putting the right cards in place.

You are not alone. The 6,7, and 9’s are really hard on older eyes! Makes sorting a little more time consuming for sure
