Wahl clippers for me too. I don't use an attachment, easier to do myself that way. Then just have the wife check me over for any missed spots.

I usually do it myself with clippers as well. Pretty infrequently. I think last time I did 3/8" on the sides/back, 7/8" on top. I always forget and do it differently every time. Sometimes I shave it completely. Balding for the easy haircut win.

I usually cut my own hair, but if I have a coupon for somewhere for a cheap or free haircut then I will go there.

It's really only acceptable to wear cargo shorts if your are going camping or rock climbing. Other wise I don't see what in the world anyone need so many pockets for lol

What other type exists ? My legs require baggy cargo. Those old man shorts would look like a speedo on me.

After our last cargo thread, I made a point to look around in public. Most, if not near 100% of shorts wearers wore cargo. Maybe it is a Florida thing.

Sounds exactly like us here lol I clip my head then yell, "Spot check!". If she's feeling nice she'll even shave the back of my neck for me.

Exactly. Nearly everyone wears cargo shorts.

I only know of two types that don't. And I definitely don't run in those crowds.

You clearly shop at strange places.

I can link you to a million and one stores that sell flat front shorts in plenty long inseams.

Every pair of flat front shorts I own, and clearly that's all I own, comes down to knee length - and I'm almost 6'2' - they aren't hard to find.

Wal-Mart just doesn't carry them. That can't confirm or deny.

So, is half the forum in the military??? Not only are we a forum or rural white males, we're a forum of rural white males with high and tight self cut hair styles...

Depends. I went to my wife's stylist for awhile, but he's lost his touch in the last couple years. I'm currently in between stylists, and have gone to SportClips for the last year or so. There's 1 chick I trust to cut my hair there.

I own 1 pair of cargo shorts. They're the, "I've got to throw something on that's ok to get ruined" pair of shorts...

Just ball busting.

I can't wear flat front anything or risk an indecency arrest. I have to have a pleat or the pecker crows to all.

Interesting to read we all went with Wahl. Mine came with the clippers, scissors, comb, attachments and a vhs tape. I don't use the guides, just the lowest bare blade cut on my entire head. Can't stand hair. I'll razor it from time to time.

Gotta be a Florida thing or something... B/c cargo shorts make up probably 5% or less of the shorts I see around here.

same here. I wore them this weekend helping a friend move. First time I'd worn them all year. (plus pockets were helpful for duct tape, scissors, etc)

Call me a snob, I don't care, but in my line of work where I deal with "business professionals" on a daily basis (I have multiple meetings daily with CPA's, Bankers, Attorneys etc...) I can tell the guy that spends $100 on a suit just as easily as I can tell the guy that spends $10 on his haircut. It's not a good look.

There is nothing that makes me scratch my head more then the guy that walks into my office in the $1,000 suit and it looks like his 2 year old cut his hair.
you don't think a place like hair cuttery or sports clips could do just as good a job for almost half the price (including tip) ?

So I have been going to this local mom & pop shop for $20... they do the old school razor shave around the neck and ears. BUT... a new lady just came up on a Facebook Swap page and she give haircuts for $10. And she is OMG HOT!... trying to find her post. I may start paying $60 for a haircut every two weeks. LOL

I have been going to the same salon for about 6 years now. 5 minute drive from my house, and always been happy with the work, went through multiple different people who cut my hair but have been satisfied every time, they always manage to have a very talented (and attractive) staff
