Default White whale speared!

So several years ago a 1/1 for one of my player collections showed up on eBay at the (in my opinion) way over market price of $124.99. I made some offers including $45 and more recently $47.50, when it would go on sale for $62.49. Always declined. I assumed it was a tire kicking listing and just kept it on my watch list.

Last week the BIN listing came down "Unsold", but lo and behold was relisted auction style at $2.99. I put in a bid right away to keep my eye on it... Another small bid was put in to outbid me and I was all ready to snipe up to $62.48 (lol)... put in my big bid and landed it for a grand total of... $8.50.

No offense if the seller is a member here, everyone is entitled to their own pricing, but wouldn't it have been better to accept one of my previous offers or somehow contact me? Can't complain, I came out way ahead!

Nice pick up at a GREAT price. Patience, and a little luck, paid off.

Congrats.

Awesome. I'm glad this worked out well for you. From my past experiences...a lot of the time sellers list at auction and then shill them to what there max offers were to see if they can get a little more. Not always though. Anyway, congrats on the pickup

I love it when old white whales like that pop up. It's the best feeling ever!

Awesome! I love seeing older 1/1's emerging like this one, especially when they are lesser known guys!

Great pick up.

In the past week I have picked up cards via eBay auction for over 3X less the value of the previous offers that I have made via BIN/BOs.

Sometimes sellers just overvalue their cards a bit too much.

Congrats again.
