Default Who is eBayer Blackrose289?

Is it a consignment account? Or does this person own all the cards? I ask because the prices are really high and the cards are all really good. Thanks!

AFAIK from reading other threads it's an individual that owns all the cards.

He owns all of them and doesn't really intend to sell anything. Just showing off basically.

i actually pm'd them about some hundley in 2015. I was very polite and said there prices are not inline with auctions. they were very polite back and said you can make an offer, whcih I offered a little over ebay. response was not really interested in selling for that price. after talking back and forth, i got they impression they were not hurting for money and if you want to purchase a card from them then it will be on there terms. nice to look at but if it is something you really really need you are going to pay for it.

From My understanding, it is part of an insurance fraud scheme. The cards that do sell, are still hundreds of dollars over actual value, and All sold cards are to the same couple of people. He/She wont sell to anyone outside of those couple people.

My feelings as well.

I keep getting visions of buying way overpriced to provide value then burning the house down to claim on insurance lol

Unless it's postal insurance?

Well that makes no sense considering I have bought 2 cards of his and my buddy just recently bought the Harrison flawless 1/1 for 400.

That scam doesn't exist. Never heard of such a thing and it wouldn't work.

Reason why I question it is because being in the insurance business, multiple insurance claims would definitely raise a red flag. To all the scammers out there trying to get a quick payout on a fraudulent claim. They will investigate and if you are found guilty it is a serious offense. In all likelihood they are just high priced and choose whom they do business with.

Looks like cards were sold to 18 different eBay accounts, a lot of the people buying bunches bought similar cards so could be PC (Peppers, NT /25 set). Looks like a big false on that unless they're crazy enough to be getting hundreds of feedback and then using offers to make a hundred here and there and paying store fees on 10k+ listed.

My own research indicates the seller is this man:

Could it be that those are buyers who have the funds to pay for Blackrose's auctions ?
I have not done anything with EBay in a decade but a card has the "Value" that the seller wishes to pay and the owner wishes to sell. If the owner decides to place on the open market "EBay" then it's all on the bidders.

Its a single seller that only sells for their prices. Mostly rarer stuff, so they hold out until they get their price.

That being said those prices are usually absurd, so doesn't seem like they actually sell too much.

i would say showing off a collection. Nice cards no doubt but when you have a LeSean McCoy NT Patch Card 2-Clr /25 from 2015 for $250??? That card would be lucky to fetch $15 to the right McCoy collector. They are def. on their own cloud when pricing.

I've noticed that a good deal of his/her cards that have been listed for several years have long since passed their time of having great value. That's fine if you aren't concerned about the money, but to me, it makes sense to sell of certain players (middle-low end rookies, current average players, flash in the pan performers) before their value drops down to nothing. Holding those cards hostage for outrageous demands is not the way most sellers would do it.

I did see some great deals in their listings, like this one...
