Indiana. This isn't a knock on Indiana, more a knock on how people perceive Indy. It's always going to be an up hill battle for players from smaller markets (not just Indiana) in general.

Plus he has became a star as a Pacer - obviously fans of the Pacers would rather have cards of him in that uniform which holds back his rookies to a certain extent.

Look at a guy like Westbrook. MVP, 2x triple double seasons, decent bit of playoff success. Oladipo’s resume isn’t even close, and Westbrook’s stuff isn’t very expensive comparatively speaking.

Kirilenko and Marion top-ten players at some point? No. Paul George, top-ten player at some point? No, again. The league has really become watered-down.

Kidding.
Lebron is a transcendent superstar who, in terms of this hobby, is bigger than the teams he plays for.

One more thing: it's only been a season and 10 games. Rarely does a 5th year player generates that much excitement at that point.

I think he's almost properly priced. Silver Prizms at 150? I see them eventually getting closer to 200 and staying there.

I think the key for him is staying with the Pacers.

LeBron stuff was cheap like 2 years ago so why would anyone want to pay up for oledipo now.

Hype is gone, traded, not a rookie.

Hard to get back that flavor of the week once you been around a few years.

I'm sure he sold better his rookie year.

Look at another player who spent his first 5 years or so buried on the bench in Portland and then broke out when he was, ironically, traded to Indy... Jermaine O'Neal.

Although, idk about card hype back then, JO turned into a dominant player and several all stars as a Pacer. I'm sure he was hot for a little minute. But now his stuff is probably free.

Surprisingly some of JO's stuff still sells really well, specifically his Pacers-era high-end stuff.

He deserves nothing, since he has accomplished nothing.

Yep. Noah was better than many of those players for 1 season.

It was his peak, never to be reached again.

Don't believe me? Thats fine. Enough MVP voters thought that of him that he finished 4th in voting.

Saying that a player was top ten at a snapshot in time is a lot different than saying that someone is a top 10 active career player.

If we were talking to active career players I doubt Oladipo would be top 50 right now.

Your premise is substantial.

I donít believe Noah would be worth more than the players stated above.

As for the argument of top 4 in mvp voting I donít base my player ratings on mvp votes.

Thibs had a solid squad for Noah to thrive in, but if you replaced him with a player above Iíd argue that team would have done more on a general basis. The same goes for Joakim moving teams. On a different team I donít think he thrives like he did in Chicago

Love VO, drafted him in fantasy this year. But let's see him pad that resume a little more and maintain top 10 player status for a few more years. A deeper run into the playoffs this year, a few 40+ point games, triple doubles, or one or two "signature" games like a 50 or even 60+ game, etc.. would help him out. Devin Booker is an inferior player but after he dropped 70, he shot up another level.

Those guys were underappreciated, but among the best

Just my 2 cents , but in his prime J. Noah was absolutely a top ten player if not even a little better than that
