When will you learn???

Thank God this saga is over, goodbye douche. We have a running back now who is putting up numbers that even you didn't last year. Enjoy your big money next year and your 5-11 record.

Man, I would love just 2 of his missed game checks. Could call it a day and live in peace.

I’d guess Jets, Indy, or Houston

Some folks seem to think so, my guess is it will be whoever offers the most.

Hope they tag his ass again next season. Screw that guy. I'm very happy with Conner.

He won't show up... he has no reason to... he will definitely be able to play next season and there is NO way the Steelers will franchise tag him a 3rd time since it would cost like $24-25million (that's QB money!)... and transition tag won't really do anything unless a team low balls him and the steelers match the low ball price... Either way Bell wins. Also hoping he won't get picked up by anyone due to missing all of this season is dreaming... unfortunately there will be suitors galore...

He seems like the type that wants the massive guaranteed dollars so he no longer has to care about his performance. Someone will regret picking him up, but like Melo in basketball, there will always be a team willing to pay. Will be interesting if they offer more than the Steelers offer though. He wants Gurley money. Good luck with that.

The franchise tag is a stupid rule designed to benefit the owners at the expense of the players and I have no idea how the nflpa keeps agreeing to it. I have no problem with players sitting out.

I agree. I can understand if a player gets franchised one time in case they can't come to a long term agreement, but it is ridiculous that they agree with allowing a player to be tagged multiple times. Especially in a league where salaries are not guaranteed. I feel the players union needs to address this going forward on the next deal.

In getting back to the issue here with Bell, I have been in support of him sitting out this year if he didn't get a deal he wanted. So many people blame him given it is a lot of money but you cannot compare salaries that people like us make versus pro athletes. Regardless of scale a person wants to be paid what they think they are worth and Bell wasn't getting that from the Steelers. Does he get a better deal next year? Maybe not, maybe so. However what I do have a problem with is Bell messing with the Steelers throughout this year. A couple weeks before the deadline he tweets he is leaving Miami and then is seen back in Pittsburgh making it look like he is going to report. If you aren't going to report then he should have just called the GM and Tomlin and flat out told them as a courtesy. I think the way he handled this gives a worse impression to other GMs than if he had just said he is going to sit out this year and let everyone move on.

The Steelers offer would make him the highest paid rb in the game. All he wants is tons of guaranteed money so it doesn’t matter how he performs the rest of his career. It’s ridiculous.

Even if he gets the big payday next year as a free agent bottom line is he left 14.5 on the table and will never see that money

Because the union as a whole doesn't want to make any concessions to get rid of something which only impacts what? 7 or 8 players per season?

Originally I thought that was what they would do but I didn't realize that he gets credit for an accrued season as far as the franchise tag is concerned. So next year he gets a whole 'nother level of earnings if they tag him.

Quite honestly, I think Pittsburgh is happy he didn't report and they will be glad to get rid of the headache.

So what does everyone predict happens to his rc autos... I personally hope he goes to a big market so I can offload my PC of his at a decent profit, Roughly 40 random cards. I was a big buyer in 2013-14 for my standards. I really wish I would have sunk the money I put in him in AB in 2010-11

There is a small part of me that hopes the Steelers win the Super Bowl this year.

I understand where Bell is coming from, my Colts pulled this same crap on Edgerrin James. Big difference was the Colts never made a long term offer. I watched Edge play hard during the regular season but he was very careful in the playoffs, I believe this may have cost the Colts a Super Bowl or two but I blame the Colts not Edge.

The Steelers offer was more than fair because Bell is overrated, I always thought it had to do with the O-Line and didn't think his "patient" style would work anywhere else. Conner has kind of proved this and teams have to be questioning how much Bell is really worth.
