Does This WWE Paige Card Seem Odd To Anyone else?

I was searching 1/1 cards on eBay and noticed that this Paige 1/1 card seems off to me. I don't remember this set having any refractor cards in it. I thought it was only a regular insert card and then they had printing plates.

I shouldn't think Mr. Topps would be too pleased with someone adding a foil film to the front of their cards and calling them rare 1/1's!!!!

That is what I thought. My only concern is that it was graded by BGS and doesn't state on the slab that it is a custom card.

That is odd, and the listing doesn't make it clear either. Custom cards are fine, but the buyer should know what they are getting.

So, BGS is grading custom fake knock-offs 1/1 cards now?!?

This has got to be a case of BGS coming across a genre they don't see very frequently and not knowing enough about it to spot a fake. A little concerning, actually.

I contacted both the seller of the card and BGS about the situation. The seller got back to me and stated he purchased the card off eBay and got it graded by BGS. Since they gave it a grade he insists that it's a legit card.

Will respond back if BGS gets back to me.

Well it is certainly not a 1/1 because there is another one on ebay and it is not stamped or marked as a 1/1. I guess BGS just took their word for it?

It actually is stamped 1/1 right beneath Paige's name on the front of the card. And, for what it's worth, the other listing on eBay is actually for a different card (similar custom card, but of the 2015 Heritage card of Paige). The seller on that listing has 2 cards pictured in the listing, the RTW card in the original post, and the Heritage card I just mentioned.
