So what's the final decision on the following?

-Number of keepers
-Rules/limits with keepers in terms of position (i.e. max # of F/D/G, of LW/C/RW/etc)
-Keeper costs and if first rounders can be kept
-Min/max round keepers can be kept in
-FA keeper costs

Gotta start doing some research and seeing who's valuable in the hockey world nowadays. Have a vague idea, but outside of the Wild, I don't follow super closely

Here is my ruling before the draft as commissioner. Most important is that each season we will need to have 100% draft attendance so that we can ensure keepers are selected in the right rounds/positions. ESPN doesn't allow you to keep players by round. Maybe in the future we explore a different website host that does.

3 keepers each season, losing a pick one round earlier than selected (5th round pick costs 4th rounder next season)

Can not keep more than 1 Goalie, must keep at least 2 skaters but no more than 2 F or D (i.e. 1 F, 1 D, 1 G or 2 of F or D and 1 of the other, 0 G)

Players drafted in Rounds 2 or higher may be kept, losing the pick 1 round higher than they were drafted in next season. You can not keep a player who was drafted in the first round.

Free Agents will cost a pick in the final round of the draft. If you originally drafted the player in the 10th round, dropped him during the season, re-added him, and want to keep him, he will cost the round based on draft position.

Players acquired via trade will cost the round based on their original owner's draft position.

IDK, I don't necessarily know enough about hockey to really have a feel on who is good where and who isn't

I do know it's typically key to have 2 goalies you can count on day in and day out to give you consistent starts. Just not enough talent to go around and try to stream goalies and win a championship.

I'm mostly interested to hear as the season goes on how people start determining keepers and where different people determine value picks.

I'm still mad about missing out on Auston Matthews where he was picked

8-3-1 in the first matchup of the year. Obviously a long way to go, but off to a good start. Happy that I'm top 3 in the league so far in goals, +/-, blocks, losses, shutouts, GAA, and save %. Will be interesting to track things moving forward as we get farther into the year. Definitely will be a learning experience

Ok so it looks like the league is giving the penalty minutes category win to whoever has more PIM- Why is that? I would think whoever has less PIM should win that category. Am I wrong in that?

Nope, in fantasy hockey PIM is always a positive stat category. The more penalty minutes the better

It's always important to have a guy who punches a lot of people lol

Haha, well the more you know. Wouldn't have made much of a difference last week as I got crushed anyways, just thought it was odd
