Less than 1% of my entire collection is football...but when I started getting serious about my collecting, the Largent Rookie was a must have(loved that card as a 7 year old kid)! I don't have it scanned at the moment, but I will dig it out and post it when I do. Yours motivated me!

Fresh mail in today, added this with the $15 off $75+ eBay deal . Really happy to add this to the vintage collection. Joe Morgan RC!!

I have been going through and doing an inventory of my cards, and I could get rid of everything but my vintage PC. I just love hunting these cards down.

And the twin I just added.

Thought I would post a couple of cards tonight, there was a post in the FB section on holes in your collection and my #1 was a 1977 Topps Mexican Steve Largent PSA 8 RC. So I thought for tonight I'd post a couple of Topps Mexican cards I hope to add more of these to the vintage PC in the future. First up a Jim Zorn RC this card looks great, and being a huge Seahawks fan I had to have it. Scan.

Next up Mean Joe Greene awesome card, with the classic Topps FB close up head shots. I really like these, I love to see the expression on the players faces. Scan up.

Thanks, I think that Zorn is has a little to much stuck to the bottom corner or else it's a 8 to me.

I have two awesome pickups I'm waiting on now, so I'm getting antsy. I'll have to just post a recent pick up and a card that I have had for a few years now.

I thought I would add my second favorite BSK card after my Mikan RC. This card I had posted in another post so I though I would add it to my vintage thread. This card is so sharp, scan.

This Larry Costello RC is also super sharp, it has some tilt but looks like a PSA 8 from the front. The only thing holding this back is a surface wrinkle on back.

Awesome Hank Aaron pickup today, this and his 54, 57 Topps are my three favorite basic cards he has. I will be going after the other two, but this was first on my list and has a great design all around. This is the exact top to bottom centering I was looking for. I know it's considered OC, but these 55 Bowman just look right with just a tiny bit of boarder on the bottom. Scan up!

Well, it finally made it home the second vintage card I was waiting on. I had bought this while the seller was on vacation, but it's here now. 1957 Topps Bob Cousy RC! This card is really crisp in hand it does have a little more snow on front than I could see in the pic by the seller, still looks great though and I'm happy to add it to the vintage PC!

Thanks, I really enjoy tracking down the vintage. I just need to get serious about how I want to display my cards, hard to enjoy them locked away lol.

Fresh vintage mail today!

First up a really nice Mean Joe Greene RC, the colors of this card just pop. Scan up.

Next up 48 Leaf Knock out Marcel Cerdan, I just keep chipping away at this set.

It's about to get crazy over here so I thought I'd post some mail. I hit two Roger Maris cards within a week for my basic run. I have a 1965 in route, and this 60 Topps in hand (my first card from this set). These 1960 Topps are great looking cards, this Maris has some slight tilt and snow, but still looks strong for the grade. Scan up!

It was a Roger Maris kind of mail week! I missed a really nice 65 PSA 6 this fall it went for $100 it was dead centered, but had some black PD on the front. I think I like this one better though, this card is so tough to find centered and w/o any tilt and fits the bill for my poor man's Roger Maris Basic run. I also picked up a 67 Topps with the $15 off $75 deal eBay had the other day, I'll post a scan when I get it in hand. I'm now down to the 61, 63, 66, and the 68 to finish the run . Scan up!

Love the 65 Maris. Still looking for one of those myself, and you are correct in how it’s a challenge.

67 Topps Maris is in hand, this card is really sharp plus I got it well below VCP with that coupon .

Dude, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again... you have an incredible eye for picking out mid-grade cards that are incredibly sharp/centered.

I won’t spoil for the rest but can’t wait to see that card you told me about.

Man, that's a great collection.

I'm like you in that I've moved solely into vintage stuff. Less volatility and who's hurt, who's not, lets return this because guy A isn't in the majors anymore, etc.

But unlike you, I don't buy graded. Don't like graded. Don't deal with graded. Might buy graded when I starting purchasing the key RCs (Koufax, Ryan, Rose, Clemente, Aaron, etc.). Other than that, will just chip away at my sets that I'm trying to build in Ex-Mt to NM condition.

Again, great collection.

I also really love raw cards, and hope to build some raw vintage binder sets someday. I think you have the right idea to buy all your big cards graded though (lots of altered cards out there), then you can crack them out if you want.

Good luck, I look forward to see more of the vintage trades you land.

Some fresh vintage pickups. I'm really excited that I landed this Wilt Chamberlain RC, a nice crisp card with great centering. The In Action was already in my collection, and looks good next to his base RC. Scan up.

Been searching for a while for a Maravich RC w/o any tilt, finally landed one.

My first 64 Stand Up, now just need that Aaron and Mantle .

Picked these up from a board member Gervin and Malone RC's.

Had a good low grade RC mailday, first up a really nice Yaz RC w/o a bunch of PD plus it's nicely centered. I also landed a sharp (love the centering on this one) Dave Parker RC, little purple PD on his neck but still a nice card for the vintage PC. Scans.
