He's a head case you could read his face every time he missed one. He needs to get that under control through hypnotherapy or something.

Good selection, bad outcome. Good prospect, not as good in the NFL.

He was actually beating Folk by a very small margin in TC, last week had a 10/10 day, including a 54 yarder and a 50+ kick on skinny posts. It didn't translate to the game and it cost him his job.

Where is the thread for every other bad pick every year?

Nobody even touching my point about KeiVarae Russell getting cut 11 months ago or the Patriots wasting a 2nd rpund pick on Jordan Richards 2 years ago, because it doesn't fit your narrative.
BECAUSE HE WAS A KICKER...

Taking chances on position players that have the opportunity to impact half of the snaps in a game is WAY more worthy of a gamble than a guy that can MAYBE have an impact the game a dozen times between kickoffs and FGA's.

Also, there weren't threads about those other players where those teams homers were blindly defending the picks. Besides, see above. Optimism with a position player, justified. There's no reason to waste a second round pick on a player that simply CANNOT have that much of an effect upon the outcome of a game/season. Period. End of story.

As someone who owns a couple Vinatieri cards, I can appreciate kickers. That said, Vinatieri was pulled from NFL Europe. Gostkowski was a 4th round pick. I even question if taking Ghost in the 4th was a good idea. All these years later. The impact a kicker can have is just so limited. I'm not saying ST aren't important. They just can't have as huge of a value. Especially when compared to replacement level players...

They are all here with me in Tampa. I've been giving them all so much crap over this since I said since the start how bad it was to trade up for him and take him in the 2nd round. Basically everyone here is a FSU and/or Bucs fan and some are still saying he was a good pick even after his release.

Smart move for Tampa to release him though. They made a mistake and owned up to it by letting him go.
