Default Apple iPhone iOS 8, anyone install it?

I did it last night and facebook, the weather channel app and some other my apps crash right away or just freeze up. Anyone else have this issue?

Mine is running perfectly fine. You may need to update each of your apps as well.

I always wait a few weeks before updating anything. It gives the company time to work out any kinks.

I've heard some people have experienced their phones running slower after the update. How long did it take you guys to update your phone to iOS 8?

iPad and 5S took about 45 minutes to update. Everything seems to be running smoothly. I updated all my apps and backed up everything beforehand, no problems.

Everything runs fine so far. Don't be paranoid..., installing iOS8 for the security fixes alone is well worth it.

Works okay...a few things I dont really like:

The new double click of the home screen

The way the photos are organized...Instead of photos being deleted, they now go to a "deleted" folder which gets emptied every 30 days. To permanently delete you need to delete (sends to the folder) and then re open it and delete it again when its in the trash folder.

I do like the design of most other things including the calling screen/texting.

My battery life seems to be the same as before

It has only been a day so I am sure there will be more things to like/dislike down the road

I had to get rid of those recent contact bubbles.

Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Show in App Switcher -> Off

Also, the constant keyboard word guessing streaming thing is pretty obnoxious when you're texting so I minimized it.

I still have 4S and iOS5. I didnt want to upgrade to iOS7 because people were complaining how it is really slow. Is it better with iOS8?

Interesting. So now it works like iPhoto on the Mac.

LOL. iOS 5? You're robbing yourself sticking to such an old OS.

My 4s ran iOS 7 perfectly and iOS 8 looks to be running fine too.

My GF's Ipod is having a hell of a time trying to download IOS8. Just keeps going back and forth between 12 and 22 hours remaining, not sure what the problem is.

I have an iPhone 4s and an iPad air.

I tried to download both but it appears servers are overwhelmed as it's taking nearly 30 hours for the iPad to download. The iphone 4s is also taking forever to download.

I read an article warning against 4s users upgrading, that the hardware can't properly support the 8.0 iOS.

I had that problem. I plugged it into my mac and installed it directly from the computer instead of wi fi and it was fast.

I downloaded it and love it. Love everything except the way they sort the photo album. I want it like before with just simply oldest to newest.

Also LOVE that they made it where you can share purchased apps and other items with up to 6 members of your family sharing center. Highly enjoy having Swype, the one thing from my old droid that I missed
