Default Should Sony have given in to the threats made regarding the release of The Interview?

Rogen, who is also one of the directors of The Interview, has since responded on Twitter saying: "People don't usually wanna kill me for one of my movies until after they've paid 12 bucks for it."

It's ridiculous that Sony pulled this movie.

I think them pulling the movie saved them from a Christmas Playstation meltdown that would have cost Sony millions, if not trillions of dollars :sarcasm:

But you gotta love the old America #@#@#@#@ yeah! response - Let's just give NK a taste of what crippling can do, and DARE them to do it again....

I feel sorry for all the poor suckers that are going to pay good money to see a Seth Rogan movie just to see what the "hype" is about.

Where is the "Who cares" option of the poll ? Polls posted on the forum tend to negate the "whuptie doo" factor of life.

Per the "Good money"...watching it on youtube for 5.00 doesn;t really seem like good money. You can watch it on Youtube,Xbox, Netflix soon,etc...So, you do not have to go anywhere to see it. Doing so is a choice and that choice should be the issue

I think they could have done it a little differently. It's going to play at a theater right by me tomorrow. If something did happen and they just ignored the threats they would have been torn apart. Since they at least made an attempt to possibly keep it from playing at least now if something does happen they can't be completely destroyed because it did.

Sony had no choice. No movie theater was going to take on this movie with the threats that were made, as any movie theater that played it would have been held liable if there was an attack

North Korea should obviously have a say in all our movies released . Good move . Hope it happens again, soon . Enjoy American Sniper instead .

I think Sony handled the situation as best as they could. It really is an unprecedented move having the major chains pull a movie like that a week from coming out. I think the roll out onto VOD has been a bit odd with the movie being on Xbox but not on the PS4. You can say that they want to have Microsoft take the hit but that's really nothing more than a joke. If anything it shows how disjointed Sony is as a company. To me it shows that one hand is not talking to the other. I feel like the only time they work together is when they want to make a Spider-Man movie and all the lines of business try to cram as much product placement into it as possible.
