Default To Pimp A Butterfly

Who else is beyond excited for March 23rd? I honestly think this could be better than GKMC.

I am very excited. Lots of good hip hop is coming in the next few months. Hopefully he brings the best out of some people like the control verse and GKMC did.

Same! Can not wait for this album to drop. Better than GKMC? Idk about that, GKMC is probably my favorite album of all time.

WOW this is f'in flames

Kendrick's solidifying himself as one of the greatest of the 21st century. Him and J. Cole are murdering the industry.

At first listen of King Kunta, doesn't live up to the hype that surrounded it for so long. I can see it growing on me, however.

KING Kendrick, the best rapper in the industry. To Pimp a Butterfly is going to be something crazy, I'm expecting something that'll be revolutionary to rap. Kendrick Lamar has some of the most inspiring lyrics, ridiculous flow, a lot of well done sampled songs! King Kunta, The Blacker the Berry and "I" we're all extremely good, just felt like they were a bit mainstream, which singles are supposed to be, don't get me wrong, but I'm waiting for this album to define Kendrick and for it to go straight back to his roots. Good Kid Maad City was one of the greatest rap albums ever produced, and I really hope Kendrick can top that because it would be like revolutionary to rap. Kendrick knows he is a leader in the game, so he has to speak for the voiceless. J Cole and Kendrick are the new Biggie an Tupac, minus the violence and gangs. Everything they have created has been marvelous. I'm gonna go buy K. Dots album on the 23rd. It'll be good.

Kendrick is an amazing rapper. Didn't know this was the name of his album, just clicked the link cause I was wondering wtf it was about lol. Can't wait to get his CD

Highly disagree to those talking about J Cole though. I cannot stand him. Only song by him I like is Simba. I think he's highly over rated.

I agree, J. Cole's songs are nothing special.

You don't think Kendrick is the new Biggie/Pac? I think he's the closest thing to either we've seen since them. Strong LA presence, unique style, strong message, killer flow, genius lyrical content, no bashfulness. Is he as important as Biggie? No. Could he be in a few years? Easily.

Don't have time to listen to this tonight and its too late for music to sink into my brain. I will listen to it tomorrow at lunch time. I have seen very negative reviews but those are mostly internet trolls and on their first listen.

Can someone translate for an almost 50 year old rural white guy what exactly is being talked about? From the title I assumed some chick flick

I'm the only one that thinks it kind of blows? If this were his debut album, there is no way that he would've blown up like he did. This album is not very good...
