Yeah, he's become a favorite of mine.

Here are a few for a change of pace:

Batman & Robin, done in the style of circa 1973 Super Friends by Hanna-Barbera artist Patrick Owsley (I know the subjects aren't unique or very intricate, but these are done by hand and I thought the price was very reasonable for the first version of Batman I saw as a kid)

The next three are some hand-drawn PSCs from our good friend Ted Dastick, Jr (got these for very reasonable prices as well, IMO). The have a full signature on the back. Each came with a "Ted Attacks" signed Mars Attacks parody card

Jason Voorhees

Batman

Iron Man

And don't worry, I have a TON of Marvel Premier that came in the last 2 days to scan.

Do you guys even want to see these? I don't want to clog up the board if no one cares

I love seeing all the sketches you have picked up, I keep checking your post at least once a day. You have built an impressive collection in a short amount of time, can't wait to see what else you've picked up.

The Charles Hall Spiderman hinged sketch is amazing, although I was interested to see how painted sketches would hold up to the folding. When I first saw it posted on ebay, I did see a little bit of flaking at the fold, which is too bad, but it doesn't look too bad from the scan you posted.

Scan away... that is what the boards are for

Even though this site has turned into 37 page threads about pack searching at wal mart..

Also if you ever move that iron man lmk... that is great

Thanks guys--just didn't want to burn everyone out on these sketches

Here are the Marvel Premier non-hinged sketch cards I needed to scan:

Harold Edge - Magneto

Elvin Hernandez - Dr. Strange

Elvin Hernandez - Red Skull

?? - Thing (there may be a sig in there somewhere, but I haven't found it yet)

Frankie B. Washington - Ghost Rider (getting quite a Ghost Rider collection going and I've got Ashleigh Popplewell doing a AP commission of him)

Puis Calzada - Sabretooth

?? - Red Skull

Eugene Commodore - Red Skull

j(ay) - Iron Man

Chris Foreman - Punisher

Edward Cherniga - Captain America

Cool--I'm just moving the Marvel Premier stuff I don't like. I'm assuming you mean the Ted Dastick PSC one. I'm going to be keeping that one.

My sketches aren't numbered on the back, that's the year I drew them.

And I appreciate you buying them!

Thanks for the clarification

I wasn't really sure how that would work, but since I'm new to these I thought maybe it was just something I didn't know yet

Thanks

I've decided to sell off most of my hinged sketches. I really like the art on them, but they are going to be very hard to display (and most of the options are pretty expensive for the number I have ).

I'm hanging onto the Elvin Hernandez ones. Not sure which others I'll keep right now.

EDIT: I decided I'm offloading all the hinged sketches now. Unfortunately due to bids I put in before this realization, I have several more hinged sketches coming in

Cleaned up the thread since I've decided to move the hinged sketches. I'm only posting the ones that are in my PC here.

If you want to see the ones I removed again sometime (for artist ID or whatever), go here: http://s177.beta.photobucket.com/use...ng%20or%20Sold

I'll also keep that up to date with my hinged scans I get going forward.

Alright--it's nice to be adding some scans rather than removing scans this time

As mentioned in my last post, I'll keep my PC cards in here. You can visit the photobucket link above for the hinged sketches being sold--there will be many in the coming days.

First up:

Kevin Sharpe - Black Panther

Mark Morales - Magneto

Antonio Brandao - Punisher

By the way, these base sketch cards are starting to get pretty pricey. I think more people are warming up to these versus the hinged cards. Or maybe people are just trying to build their "master" base sketch sets.

I'm with you on the base sketch compared to hinged. The base are just easier to display like a traditional card.

Okay--I've got some work to do tonight before I can post any scans, but I just wanted to share that I picked up the last 2 cards I needed tonight to have a full 50-character set of the base sketch cards

I'll post a picture of the set with the best of the ones I have dupes of once everything gets here.

I finally figured out how to do clickable thumbnails from Photobucket, so hopefully this will be an improved viewing experience now.

After my previous announcement, I did a tally and see I'm only 12 away from having a second full set of all 50 characters So that's the next (and final) Marvel Premier challenge for me, other than picking up really excellent sketches in the future that I like. It's been fun, but it's also been expensive and trying to do a third full set would be insane. Right?

No need to answer--I know that would be crazy

Okay--now on to the scans. The batch from yesterday and today is massive, so I will be breaking it up over a couple days.

?? - Venom

Ashleigh Popplewell - Venom

Kevin Sharpe? (sure looks like those are the names, but his other sigs are different) - Magneto

Wendy "Mashi" Chew - Doctor Doom

Layron DeJarnette - Doctor Doom

Randy Martinez - Ghost Rider

Chris "Cabbie" Bradberry - Ghost Rider

Peter "Butch" Mapa - Galactus

James Riot! - Nightcrawler

Lee Kohse - Green Goblin

Adrian Nelson - Red Skull

Wendy "Mashi" Chew - Red Skull

Cyrus Mescarcia - Red Skull

Is there a method to this madness? I'm trying to collect as many Gambits as I can... Not having such luck. 199 dollars for a normal sketch, eek.

Good question. In short the answer is, sorta

There's certain artists I like and I've been going after those. And certain characters I like and I've gone after those. I've also been looking for what I thought were quality sketches with low BINs or bid prices.

Once I realized I was close to a 50-character set, then I went after the ones I was missing. Then I saw I had enough dupes that I wasn't too far from a second set, so my final quest is to wrap that up very soon. I only need 4 more as of now.

After I wrap the second set, I'll keep an eye out for special ones that pop up, but I'll probably just being doing a more random "here's a sketch I like" thing going forward. I just found this product to be really, really special in terms of the quality of sketches in it. I know it's more limited and expensive than most sketch card products, but nothing else I've seen has had as many quality sketches in it.

I don't know how sketch cards do long-term, but I think this has a chance to reach a legendary status once the product dries up.

I'm baffled that the hinged sketches have gone down as much as they have--there's some really nice ones going for cheap.

I'd say the base sketches are overpriced right now. I'm sure myself and others are inflating that right now trying to complete these sets.

When you say "complete" these sets what do you mean? There are 50 characters that have been sketched, so people try to get one of each character sketch?

I'm new to non-sports this year (been collecting MLB for many many years) so I'm just curious what the methods are with this stuff.

Thanks for your post!
