And more:

Millard Fillmore Leaf Oval Office:

1/4 = $460
2/4 = $460
4/4 = $475

Millard Fillmore 1600 Penn:

1/1 = $700

And it's wise to keep in mind that not only did the 1600 Penn bring more, there was another cut and 4 other cards in that box. Oval Office only had that 1 cut that brought a lot less.

Oval Office cards won't always bring less, but there are several examples of them bringing a lot less.

All I can really say is that I am very happy with my 1600 Penn break. I have sold the Thomas Jefferson, Jackie Kennedy and 13 base cards offline and not only do I have my initial investment back but am well ahead. I still have the Hoover Dual, Taft, Carter dual and 2 Cabinet member Cuts to sell

Goes with the older presidents out of 1600 sell better observation. What is the big crazy mojo hit to get out of 1600 Penn? I know Oval Office had the Washington and Washington/Lincoln.

Several: definitely JFK/Marilyn Monroe and JFK/Castro; probably Clinton/Lewinsky and Reagan/Hinckley. Reagan/Gorbachev and Reagan/Thatcher could also make some noise.

Keep in mind that some of those figures are based upon Buy It Now/Best Offer which is kind of unfair to judge the entire market on as the seller dictates everything. At least 2 of the OO Fillmores sold that way.

A more judicial way of comparing would be to find similar pieces that each went through an auction so that the buyers and the market determined the comparable values.

I agree, but sales are sales. This hobby would be a lot better off if sellers would stop undercutting each other.

That's why values tank so bad after a week of release .

The best thing to do would be to compute the expected value for each products box break. That would end the debate once and for all lol.

I agree that's one of the reasons.

Not necessarily. If two people want something, and they're willing to pay $100, and they see a BIN for $50, that seller will set the market at $50.

Patient sellers are great for this hobby.

As a buyer I selfishly love the undercutting. That Fillmore for $475 was an awesome deal but the signature was just too washed out for me. I'm surprised it sat for as long as it did thought at that price(sat for only a few hrs).

Does anyone have an idea of what a Gerald Ford/Sara Jane Moore 1/1 dual (oval office) is worth? I had to look up Moore ... She tried to assassinate him. I think the dual cut is pretty cool but not sure on value. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I take it you pulled this?

The only easy answer is that this'd be worth more than any other Ford cut in the product. It has a lot of novelty, and I have no idea how available Moore's sig is.

There's a lot of interest in assassins (and would-be assassins). There's even been a Broadway musical called "Assassins" by the great Stephen Sondheim. Moore is a character in the show!

I sold my Leaf Oval Grover Cleveland/Stevenson Dual Cut #1/1 for $775 last night. The same 1600 Penn #1/1 went for a little under $700. That's a fair comparison.

I did pull it ... Did like the novelty aspect but I guess the main thing I'm after is an idea of what the Moore would add ... It's a very intriguing dual but wasnt sure what kind of interest was out there for this sort of thing. Thanks for the info!

I decided to sell my oval office John q Adams /5 at auction and it got $865. The penn 1/1 sold for $825. Not a big difference but something to compare. Pretty bad that an Obama will sell for more than a John q Adams.

Crazy the two Lincoln duals were pulled from the same shop on the same day, by the same guy.

How the hell does that happen

That is only $35 a card...so I could see the bidding continuing. I might have to list my base card since it is one of the 8 this lot doesnt include!

I figured you would have completed a base set by now.
