Default Grading a Totally Certified. Do I go with or without coating?

I picked this card up about a year ago and am finally getting around to grading. Do I leave the coating on or take it off? I've never graded a card with a coating before, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

The coating counts as the surface grade so it’s more valuable in high grade with the film. But if the film has a bubble or scratch that can kill your grade.

Personally, I think the film detracts from the card...however it is part of the card.

If you're shooting for Gem, try it with it...if it gets a 9, try it without.

Great looking card. I would say send it in with it on and see what happens.

Tough call.
I recently submitted/received a Topps Finest with the "Coating" still on that I thought was a possible 10 if not a definite 9, but came back a PSA-8.
As I look at it closer now I can see the film is a bit hazy.
I would say be careful taking off the coating and good luck.

Nice card anyway!

No don't take off the coating, it looses a lot of it's value.

Thanks everyone. I sent in with coating. I'll update whenever it comes back from PSA.
