I agree with the positive. Hopefully the lesson here is he learns and understands that someone on the other end had worries after the communication wasn't provided on their end, and that he would learn from the mistake so no one else has a similar experience when that much money is at stake.

I would leave the positive with the suggestion of better communication when dealing with a high end trade..
