It's the design for 2017, at least according to the Spring Training cards they sent out.

So how does this work for the autos? Do they just randomly place one of them in the set when they ship to you?

Yes, supposedly random. They also produce /25, /10, and /1 parallels that will get distributed at random. I don't think they published odds like they did for the Cubs WS set though. (And I don't think they delivered on the Cubs WS set odds with Rizzo at least.)

Well, you already missed out on the Astros auto set at $49...it's now $99

The only other reason could be if they change the code so it only works for one set versus an entire order.

What teams do you think will be at the low end of the print run? Padres? A's? Reds? I'm thinking about picking up some of these for some of the less popular teams as sort of a crapshoot...

The 25% Cubs Convention code will work for the Cubs sets as well. I tried using both to see if I could get 50%... but only 1 code per purchase.

So if u used the spring25 for Red Sox.... you can still use cubsconvention17 for a Cubs set.

Can't imagine that Topps will print same number of autos for these players as they do for the 2 other players on the autograph list.

Bummed that there is not a Mariners auto as I think autographs will look nice on these designs. At least they didn't exclude any teams from the base sets
