I could see maybe 100 a year if UD is lucky. If i'm not mistaken, he actually told UD a year or so ago that he was going to start signing less.
You are not mistaken he pulled back on sports card and was planning to increase his memorabilia side, but with his interest in the company he can make that decision. That is one reason UD has been quieter with releases recently, but going forward if they got the license that would change obviously.

No one wants just UD.

It would be nice if there were no exclusives of current NBA players (like football was a few years ago). Companies would be forced to make better products

What sports cards would he sign for them anyway? More golf and Goodwin? I thought they stopped all actual basketball releases after losing the college license.

During the late 2000's UD would generally have 23 Jordan signatures (usually stickers) in each lower end products, obviously increasing these numbers in higher end releases.

Exquisite or Ultimate used to have the highest runs of Jordan autos but If UD did get the licence back, I think 2000-3000 signatures max per year would be the most I think he would sign.

There was supposed to be a Draft set and another one or two that obviously were shelved for the time being.

There were Jordan in Bulls uniforms that towards the end of UD's license were at that level. I do agree the college autos I think would be the first to take a dip.

I will go back and look this week at our records but it was the last year UD had the license. We picked up a couple of the Fleer and couple UD ones around 6 total for gifts under 200 and a few auto jersey versions for under $300.

Eh, I'd take anything MJ/UD over Panini. I've stopped buying wax completely at this point because Panini is utter trash.

I think some cons are:

UD Exclusives - Jordan, Lebron, Simmons, Garnett?

Panini Exclusives - Kobe, Durant, Wall, Griffin, I also read Wiggins & Embiid possibly?

A dream auto set would never really exist.

I really hope this happens, it would help stabilize the artificially high Jordan prices out there and bring them down to earth. Hopefully that will also bring about changes in the pricing on all his cards so us common folk can build sets or get cards we want.

How do we not know who is making cards this fall??? They can start selling cards in what... September? October? That's like 9 months away which doesn't seem like a lot of time?

Unless the deal is done, but then why no announcement?

So, is this you're confession that you don't wish for multiple trading card companies to level the playing field and you are completely happy with one company having a monopoly on the market?

Make a decisive statement otherwise go back under your rock.

FWIW - There is no product on the Panini Basketball schedule past Revolution which drops on February 1st.

I would have expected announcements for a few more products by now like Select perhaps?
