Not to date myself but I go even further back. I actually remember when the Isles were a DYNASTY.

Did you get one of the gold RC's that were not numbered in each box?? I cracked 2 boxes today and got Towes and another player - and think that it may be good.

If they only come 1/box and there are 100 in the set that makes them pretty tough to come by -

I think that I may have meant the gold RC's that you referenced -

How many did you get??

I just finished busting a few boxes and yea what are these things, they are not listed on the box or wrapper. These Marquee Rookies dont appeared to be numbered, are they Rainbows?, Golds?, Silvers? MicroMotions? (seen all these terms used here and on eBay) any help or educated guesses, what heck are these things called? Toews would be a great pull I would think, I pulled a Sam Gagne which I would think would be decent........any help?

1) I got almost 2 full 600 card sets with a case. Very close to 2nd....so I just opened the 2nd case.

2) They are called Silver Micromotion Parallel's

3) Base cards aren't availalbe.

4) The 2nd case is mostly listed on Ebay, I didn't have time to break it down, but some of the highlights were:

Crosby+ Quad Jersey, Brodeur+ Quad Jersey, Swede Quad Jersey
Toews Silver Micromotion
Hextall Buyback Auto
S. Bernier Auto

In my opinion, this has been the best release so far as far as value goes....this should be a huge moneymaker.

as per usual Rob we will have to agree to disagree- my case was pure trash.
To wit:

only ONE Quad jersey Dallas- thought they were 3 per case?
2 garbage OPC autos of defensemen Paul Ranger and Vlasic- how can you include autos of non top line players. Stickers no less.

Buyback auto Borje Salming- as a Red Wing- that is outrageous! a Wing!?
In my opinion, a host of crappy OPC cards some with major creases and a few grossly off center. I already have plenty of this stuff in my inventory, somebody out there might be excited with a 89 OPC Wayne Gretzky but I am certainly not.

3 cards short of full RC SP set- only one Price, 2 Toews and 2 Kanes-3/4 of other guys who will never ever be NHL players on a regular basis. Were not some of these guys in UD sets last year as RCs? Back to back packs gave me the very same career AHLer.

No big hits in the Black Parallels got two Robert Langs, however.

Micro whatevers- nothing of note- Brodeur was my best hit here.
RC Micros/Rainbow got a Sam Gagne unnumbered. only 2 Marquee RCs s/n ed to /100 from an entire case, but hey I got 2 Riley Cotes.

So the bottom line here is I just tossed away a couple hundred bucks on this junk and folks wonder why I despise UD? This type of thing has been going on the better part of the last 12/15 years. Silly me for thinking it will ever change. Horrible breaks, terrible collation and zero value for the dollar. I'll have to friggin bust my tail to get even half my $$ back. I just got screwed once again by UD, plain and simple. I hate those bastards at UD

Anyone who wants to sell the regular micromotion parallels and the RC micro parallels please PM me. I'm at 65% completion of the set and getting close to finishing.

Somewhere. I have 96 coming from one guy, 275 coming from another, I have about 60 here already and I'm negotiating with SOLT and some of the other guys on this board, but I want to see where I am first.

I've been working 70-80 hour weeks the last few so I am so far behind, but when I saw these micromotions I was like, I have to build this set. This was what the OPC set should have been, or at least make a set like this.

The micromotion blacks are gorgeous too, but that will be an expensive one and I'm not sure I'm up for that.
